Let's take a look at week 23 in the NBA. The penultimate week of the NBA regular season.
Fantasy leagues, they should not be still going, but some of them are, Michael Bolton.
Thanks, Josh. It's Michael Bolton here, and it's time for another episode of the Lockdown
Fantasy Basketball Podcast. Let's get to it.
Let's get to it.
Indeed.
You are Lockdown Fantasy, your daily NBA fantasy podcast, part of the Lockdown Podcast
Network, your team every day.
Hello, and welcome to the Lockdown Fantasy Basketball Podcast brought to you by basketball
monster. My name is Josh Lloyd, and I am the world's number one Harry vanishing big
or fan. We're here to talk about all the action for week 23 that's coming up. It is the
penultimate, penultimate week. The second last week of the NBA's regular season.
And it's an interesting one. For many of you, you guys who play in default Yahoo leagues,
for some reason, that company refuses to do anything to change anything at any point.
So this is the default finals week. It should not be, but it is. If you're in road
leagues, obviously your strategy is a little bit different. One thing I will say to you
is just have a look and make sure you know where you're at in terms of games played and
make sure you're going to hit it because there's nothing worse than having a maximum of 82
games played per slot. And you're not getting there because you've been saving games and
guys have been injured and then they didn't play because you didn't plan it out properly.
And again, I will say this. It is worth remembering that yes, starting on Monday, we have 14 days
left in the NBA season, but we have 13 game days because the Saturday of the last week
has zero games on. So have a look at your road early. How many games do you have per slot
that you need to fill? Because now like there are assuming that obviously Sunday has started.
So no, Sunday, Saturday games have started. So it includes Sunday and that. So in the
final 15 days of the NBA season, there are 14 game days. So if you're in a spot where
you need to make up 15 games and one of those games play slots, you can't get there. If
you're at 14, you better get working because you have only that is all you've got left.
You can max out now at 14 games played. That is we're up 14 games play. There are 14 game
days left in the NBA over 15 real life days. I hope that that makes sense. Let's talk about
the weekly schedule. Let's talk about this week. And in the past, this week, historically
it's not always. There's been a week where the NBA has gone very bouncy, very mountainous
where we go 12, 4, 11, 2, 14, 3, not this week. They've really flattened it out. Monday
eight games, which I love by the way, Monday eight games, Tuesday seven games, Wednesday
nine, Thursday six, Friday nine, Saturday's three and then Sunday with 11. So realistically,
our stream view of this week is the first six days and Sunday where we're probably going
to have a full roster. Now we might not. We might not, but we probably are going to have
a full roster when we head to Sunday during the week. So it is a week again where there
are many different ways. This is why I find it this stream show particularly hard to do
to be honest, because the way the schedule plays out is a little bit weird in terms of where
games are distributed. It's also a spot where you've got different situations. You're in
an ESPN default league. This is the beginning of your finals match. I put it goes for two weeks.
So you've got 14 moves over two weeks. And in those two weeks, there's only 13 game days
and two of the game days are 15 game days. So honestly, you've got only like we've got
like 11 streamable days, no 10 streamable days over the 10 over the two week matchup, but
you've got 14 moves to use. So it's not, not everything is as it appears at this point
in the season. And usually like we'll find these great sort of streaming weeks, which
one again, this one looks on the surface. And there's a lot of easy things to do. I don't
not actually find in that this week. It's a very sort of, I can't really fully explain
why I find it this way, but it is a very weird distribution of games inside the week.
And we'll get to that in a second to try and figure that out. It's pretty heavy. It's almost
two thirds of the league are playing four games, 18 teams, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland,
Dallas, Detroit, Houston, the Lakers, Memphis, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix,
San Antonio, Toronto, Utah, and Washington. They are all playing four games. During the week,
that's 18 teams, 18 out of 30. Big chunk, big chunk. That is why, and we said this
during draft season, I said to you, if you believe that Wembee and Shay, to a lesser extent,
Luca, if you think there's sort of equivalent to your kitchen, you're playing with default
settings, this is your finals week, I wouldn't pick your kitchen. That's what I said in that
particular scenario. Now, again, not to say that Yokech hasn't been great. He very clearly has
all season, but you've got a two game week coming up here. Yokech has been the number one player
this season in fantasy on a per game basis. Obviously missed some time, but so is Shay, so is Luca,
so is Wembee. But where at a stage now where, like, Luca's going to play four games this week,
Wembee's going to play probably four, I would say four. Shay is going to play three and Yokech
is going to play two. So as good as Yokech has been, all season, he hasn't been that much better
than those other guys, spread over 22 weeks that makes a two game week palatable.
The argument is always more you need to make the playoffs first, which is true, right? Which is true.
But if you're in the position where you're owning the number one pick,
if you chose Wembee or Shay or even Luca and you need to make the playoffs, it's not because
you didn't take Yokech. The differences between those guys over 22 weeks is not why you didn't make
the playoffs. It's got nothing to do with it. It wasn't about, well, of course you had to make
the playoffs first, so why would you avoid Yokech? I'm not telling you to pick Beza and Beza at
pick number one instead of Yokech. I wasn't even saying to pick Devin Book or Anthony Edwards,
okay, Cunningham or Trey Young or Anthony Davis. But when you've got guys that are relatively close
where there can be some debate about it, all the differences marginal and that marginal difference
over the course of the season is spread over 22 weeks, but you get to the one week in championship
week where there's a 50% or 100% increasing games played over what your number one pick is from Shay
or not Shay from Wembee and from Luca, that's pretty dumb to so heavily weigh those other weeks
over what happens here. And we will see, if you've ridden Yokech all season through to your playoffs,
through to your championship week, and here you are, let's see how it goes for you. Let's see,
look, he might get you 120 fantasy points if you're playing at points there, which is a lot,
obviously 60 points a game, a lot. But if Wembee plays four games, what if he gets it 200?
It's a lot, man, like it's a lot. And that is when we always, so one of the big things I talk
about in drafts is look at playoff schedule for the two game weeks. They're the ones that kill you.
I don't mind as much of a team who's got 12 versus 11, it's not a big of a deal. One game,
spread over three weeks, doesn't really matter that much. But when you've got equivalent players
like this and one of them is doubling up the other one, what if you're against a rest day?
Then you're rooted, like you're done. You're out, it's over. And you've knew that problem.
Who has three? Atlanta, Brooklyn, Golden State, Indiana, the Clippers, Miami, New Orleans,
New York, Oklahoma City, and Sacramento. They all have three games.
Another reason why the two game week is detrimental as well is that when two thirds of the
league are playing four, and these guys are playing two, well, it just hurts them even more. And that's
Denver and Portland. Again, I really, only really care about that two game week when making a
first round selection. It's really maybe second. And so I wouldn't have taken Danny Abduin
round two is more of around three sort of a player because Portland's got this year too.
But you're in situations now where a lot of your blazers guys are going to be dropable this week
because they're only played two games. Most of your Denver guys are going to be dropable
because they're only played two games. So it is key to understand how all of that works. And
versus that age old, he's an age older now, the adage of where you've got to make the playoffs
first where you can see what to do in the playoffs. It's sure, but your decision isn't Yokeh
versus Besenbeng. Your decision was Yokeh versus someone else, incredibly awesome, in Shane
Luker or Wembee, who still would have if you had done everything else the same, gotten you to
about the same spot. And there you are. Also shout out to a new great name that just got signed
Adama Bal. Bal. There's a Bal or Bal. 10 day with the Grizzlies. We're cooking.
It's tax time. But for a lot of us, the old way of doing taxes is a lot. You're trying to book

Again, it is an annoying week to me and I find this streaming plan for this week pretty difficult.
Let's take a look at the quality games in the stream zone.
Every day I'm doing this week a streamable apart from Sunday and that might be streamable.
All right, that's how we're going to view it. Monday through Saturday all low and up volume days
to be streamable. There are a couple of sections during this week where teams have three days off.
Again, it's a very weird schedule week. The palikens do not play Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
And by the way, you know who I've talked about the Dejonte Murray scenario. Guess what he's in line
for this week? Two games. Without playing at all on the first three days of the week. In fact,
over the first five days of the week Dejonte is going to play once almost certainly.
And that guys, it's troubleable. It's troubleable.
Dejonte Murray is going to end up playing nine games over the last four weeks.
Because of the way the schedule played out, which is an untenable guy to have.
Anyway, the palikens do not play Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. The Blazers do not play Friday,
Saturday, Sunday. So they are a two game team, the Blazers, right? But it's not a traditional two
game team. Because yeah, like this is your championship week, then they're all gone after Thursday.
You just drop them. They don't play again. So you could actually, they're a two game team. We
maybe you could even hold them because they played Tuesday Thursday. And it's going to depend
on a lot of different things. There are three situations this week where teams play one game in five
nights. The Denver Nuggets play once in five nights between Monday and Friday. The Portland
trial blazers play once in five nights between Wednesday and Sunday. And that's on Thursday.
Like I said, they don't play the rest of the week. But then the thunder, the sneaky little thunder,
they play on Monday. They also play on Sunday. And they play Wednesday in the middle.
No, Wednesday, no, Thursday, they play Thursday. So they have Tuesday, Wednesday off, Friday,
Saturday off. That's not good. So three games from Shay is obviously better than two from Yokey.
But you're also not in an ideal spot there with only three games. And then so like,
if you're waiting for Jalen Williams to do something, maybe I look at the other Jalen Williams,
because what if Chet sits? It's a terrible schedule. It's terrible. One game in five nights,
for anyone that's not Gildesayl, Alexander or Chet Hongren. There's no point in that. That's
the easy drop territory. There are three teams that have four quality games, four.
Meaning they play all their games and they're done on Saturday. And this is again worth noting,
if this is your championship week, you look at it because after Saturday,
anyone who doesn't play Sunday, obviously you just drop them. So that can open up even more
rosters. That's why streaming this week is quite difficult because it's all very, very dependent
on what your current roster looks like. So I'm not actually, I'm going to do this show a
little bit differently to how I've done other ones. I'm not really going to lay out a plan,
go do this here and do this here and do this here because the way that you can extract more
out of this week is dependently exactly on what your roster looks like. If you have a situation
where you've got five blokes who do not play on Sunday, that would mean then you've got a
couple of open roster spots on Sunday. Meaning that turns into a stream day because then you drop
those guys, but you need to have wavy moves to drop and add somebody to get the full Sunday in.
It's a really difficult week, but there are those three teams with four qualities,
Detroit, so Dennis Jenkins, Philadelphia, probably a bit of motivation to hold on to Quentin Grimes
with Ubrae and Maxi and Embed and George Orback, but the other four games and San Antonio.
So while Dylan Vassel and Julian Champagne have been doing nothing,
Stefan Castles been up and down, Dylan Hupp has been pretty good. This might be a week where they're
all sort of interesting because those three teams have the advantage over the other 27 of them,
and that's what separates it a little bit at least.
It is a hard stream week, as I've mentioned, because of the way that things play out.
There are a few ways that you can do this. As a general rule, though, as a general rule,
when you are making a move, you want to be able to get two extra games around about out of your move.
You want to be able to turn that into two extra games. So the first thing I want you to do is have
a look at your roster. Do you have Cleveland players, Dallas players, Detroit players,
Lakers players, or Suns players? Do you have those guys? Now, I'm not talking about Luca Doncic,
Austin Reeves. I'm not talking about probably Cooper Flag, Dolby Mitchell, James Harden,
Evan Motley, Devon Booker. There's probably someone else I miss there, but I'm talking about
everybody else because they play on Monday to choose their back-to-back. Great, fantastic start
to the week. And then they play one quality game for the rest of the week. They all play on
Sunday, but Sunday is theoretically, again, maybe not for you, but theoretically it's an overload day.
So you could, if you have a Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Lakers, Phoenix guy,
there's not the overall top stud level bloke, and maybe, honestly, maybe, does the Bronn even count
in this? He might. You could play them Monday to choose their, drop them, and then you've got
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, left, and you can get three games in four nights with one move.
Mean that that player that you had, let's use, um, let's use Jarrett Allen. I don't know if
we'll play the back-to-back. Maybe that's a bad example. Let's use Naji Marshall. Let's use,
oh, you see one is Jalen Durin. He's been cooking. Maybe he's a clear hold, but let's use,
um, let's use LeBron. This is through LeBron, right? Monday choose their back-to-back.
That's, you've got two games and you haven't made a move. You can theoretically drop LeBron,
I'm not saying to do it. You could theoretically drop LeBron, pick up somebody from San
Antonio, Devin Vassal, Julian Champani, Alcabio, Calden Johnson, uh, the Pencil, Harrison Barnes,
Banzi, Dylan Harper, and you could get three games in the same time frame that LeBron would play once
and use one move. So that is one move plus two games. And yeah, sure. Then on Sunday,
LeBron plays again, but if your roster is actually full, the guy that you bring off the bench to
replace LeBron that you dropped, it's not like, oh my god, I've just gotten zero. I've gotten,
let's say, 0.7 of what LeBron brings from my 11th man. So that you've lost 0.3 of value,
but you gained two games during the week. You've got to balance whether that makes sense for you.
Look, his grimes there is ubra available. Feel that off he's a little bit tougher, because I don't
know if Don Barlow is enough. He will be enough if you're dropping Tobias Harris. He will be
enough if you're dropping, um, probably Jalen Green with one game, like three games of Barlow
versus one of Jalen Green, which could go tits up at any point. Three games of Devin Vassel versus
one game of PJ Washington. Pretty obvious. And you don't really care about sacrificing that
Sunday to get the point eight from your 11th guy to come in. But it's not in order for this plan
to execute. You need to start off with a Cleveland Dallas Detroit Lakers or Phoenix guy.
And obviously not no everyone does that, because I don't, I don't know what your roster is. I
don't know who's on the team for you at the moment. So that does make it a little bit difficult.
The next sort of step of that is talking about some of these two game teams.
Like I said earlier, Poland might not be an auto drop. Donovan Klingons have been putting up
huge numbers. Apart from yesterday, where he was bad, but putting up huge numbers. Denny Evdia.
By the way, Jeremy Grant, his body said April's coming up. I'm done. Pop the calf. I think you
might be done. I think you might be over it. You can drop him. Um, like if you were like,
oh, screw down instead of doing something. Yeah, maybe. But the beginning of the week for
the Blazers guys is not bad. We always look at a three game in four night period as being stellar.
A one game in four night is bad. A two game is fine. And that's what Poland is.
There were two game week team, but like I know a big calendar tells you to look at.
But the Poland two game week is not the same as a Denver two game week,
because you can hold Denny, Drew, Klingon, whoever else I'm forgetting about.
Kamara. Hmm, deep league. You can hold him. Get two games in four nights.
And then be done. And then get an ad on the Friday Saturday on a back-to-back.
Okay. That means you got four games from a two game player. Like Denny's a two game player this
week, but you hold him. You're dropping off to Thursday. You get two games in and use one move.
So that roster just became a four game slot with one move. And you've got two Blazers guys.
Well, you've just turned four into eight with two moves. Pretty good. That's pretty good.
So they're not auto drops. But Denver is outside of YoKitch and the headmaster. Denver is because
they don't play Monday Tuesday. They play Wednesday. They don't play Thursday, Friday.
But then they do play Saturday. Yeah, that's the other thing. Like there were two game team,
but they avoid the 11 game quality day. So they're not, there's no one quality game teams available.
Those teams don't exist. It's all two, threes and those couple of fours. But with Denver,
you can drop Cam Johnson, Christian Brown, Aaron Gordon, Peyton Watson, Tim Hardaway.
You can drop those guys beginning of the week.
And those two games can be turned into five games just by using two moves.
How do you turn two games into five games with two moves? It's pretty easy actually.
You just drop them and hit a Monday Tuesday back to back. And then hit a Wednesday to Saturday,
three game in four night stretch. You could do it the other way and hit a Monday to Thursday,
three game in four night. And then hit a Friday Saturday back to back. But you've got to see
which sort of players are available. Starting the week with the back to back, there's a lot.
There's Cleveland, we just talked about Cleveland Dallas Detroit, the Lakers and the Suns. You could drop
a nugget and add one of those guys from those teams. And then you look to the Wednesday Saturday grouping
and hit Philadelphia or San Antonio and get three in that way. So you turn that nuggets player from two
into five with two games. But as you'll notice, like that's that's even better than our usual
two move plus two moves for plus two games for one move. Because that's plus two and a half per
move. The Palakins guys can be considered drops as well, even though they're three game players.
Because they don't play until Thursday. And one of their three games is on Sunday.
So you are holding on to Jeremiah Fears or Derek Queen or DeGente Murray, who's literally just a
two game player and one of them's on a high volume day. Or Cedric Bay or Herb Jones or Tremor,
if you may not even play. Because these guys don't even sharpen till Thursday.
So you can do the exact same thing. Hit the Monday, choose day back to back. And then the Wednesday,
Saturday, three and four, all the Monday, Thursday, three and four into the Friday Saturday back to back.
And yeah, you miss out on the Palakins Thursday Friday back to back. Cool. Whatever.
I've missed those two games, but I've also turned that roster slide into five now.
I've also turned it into five. Oh, the other way you could do it is grab two games from the first
three days of the week between Monday, Wednesday. And then you go and re-out to Palakins guy at that
point of the week. But holding on to a roster spot and wasting literally half of your
streamable days for the week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, it kills you. You can do so much more
with that roster spot. Like, who's the best fancy player in the Palakins at the moment?
Probably Trey Murphy. We do not know if you'll play. You might say to Jonte, he's going to play
literally two games and one of them on an 11 games on day. Zion, okay. Herb Jones. Look, these are
that's not what that is wasting. It's wasting your time. It's wasting your energy.
It's wasting your ability to win your fantasy league, I think. I've got a few more streamed
things to talk about. But it's time for the best part of the day, the best part of your week.
It's the five hour energy flavor draft. There are 18 different flavors to choose from with the five
hour energy flavor draft. Confetti craze is there. Fruity rainbows just rocked up in a pink limo.
Who do you think you are, my guy? Pink limo. And your name is Fruity Rainbow. And you're just
leaning into pink. Is it trash talking confetti craze? Is it trash talking cotton candy,
notoriously pink legend? I don't know. What I do know is five hour energy shots though,
give you a boost from zero sugar. So that from a scouting perspective, with me,
my president of five hour energy operations and my scout team, we're looking for not the flash.
We're looking for the fundamentals, the energy, the flavor. We want it to be good. Don't
don't get me wrong. But it's not just about the little rainbow car that all mate, Fruity Rainbow,
or sorry, the pink car, the Fruity Rainbow is rocking up in. I know Fruity Rainbow has got a bright
blend of assorted fruit candy flavors and it's playful with a mini fruit taste profile. It all
sounds good on paper. But my five hour energy scouting is not spreadsheets FC. We're all about the
tongue test. Maybe the NBA should institute some of that and they're scouting. Put your
arm out. Let me lick your probably not. But I'm going to pick at number one, grape solid. You can
set your watch to the flavor you're getting here. It's clean. It's a purple candy style. It's
consistent. Exactly what I need to build my new dynasty. Find your new favorite flavor of five hour
energy shots available online or five hour energy.com or on Amazon. You need indeed sponsored

league ad stuff. It is a tough week because it is a lot dependent on what you already have
sitting on your roster. But we can do it by looking at the three games in four nights to start the
week with a Cleveland Detroit Lakers Phoenix San Antonio. But I think one of the keys to this week,
one of the keys to this week is can you find four games you can but can you get or you should
be trying to get four games between Tuesday to Saturday. Four games between Tuesday to Saturday is
what you should be trying to find. And the what the the teams that you want to be like taking a look
there because you get four games in that five day period that's really key. So you can do it a
couple of ways. And one of the better ways is to get Tuesday Wednesday back to back and then
getting two games between Thursday to Saturday. Why this is important is because there are a number
of teams. There are a number of teams that play on Monday but then they have just two quality
games over the next five days. Again, that is still a lot. So these are going to be some four game
teams. But if they play Monday, you take that game away and then you've got a five day window
in the middle of the week. And if you can turn two games into four with a couple of moves,
again, it's not perfect. But it does give you that advantage. That means that that one roster slot
becomes a five game roster slot. And it's a different way of doing it. But all of this depends
on what you've got. If you've got the Monday Tuesday guys, the Monday Tuesday back to back
already on your roster, then you dump them because they've got one quality game for the rest of the week.
If you've got the Blazers guys, you can hold and then drop on Thursday. If you've got
Palakins, you can boot them immediately, even though they're not a two game team. The Thunder
guys, after Monday, they're, they're the, you know, if your team is full of thunders, if you've
got Chet, less so, but like if you got Chet, like Wallace, Dort, you're still holding AJ Mitchell,
you've got the Bronco, play on Monday and then get rid of them. Because over that one game,
or over that Tuesday to Saturday period, they play once. And you can turn their one game into four
with two moves. It's pretty useful. But that's why this week is difficult. There's no real clear
scenarios here of three game teams that play Monday. And then only play one other day during the week
that's not Sunday. And the other team that does that is the Thunder. And in fact, a lot of these
other three game teams this week that play on Monday, they play like Monday, Wednesday, Friday,
then have the weekend off. So it's not even like there's big two gay, two gay, two day gaps
in the middle. That doesn't even exist. And then you can't even hit the weekend back to back anyway
because Sunday's an overload day. It's really quite difficult. And because we have this late in
the season, there's going to be more resting shenanigans. You're going to see Detroit start to do it.
Boston is doing it. Oklahoma City is doing it. So really, look, this one requires
I can't really hold the hand through this week because it is entirely dependent on what your
roster looks like. But just always be trying to be at like each each stream roster slot that you
use needs to be using if using one roster slot to stream. I think you're doing yourself a
disservice, but that has to hit six games. If you're using two, these roster slots have to hit
that you have to get five games out of a streaming slot. So if you just think about it that way,
look at how the week plans. Each, if you are going to stream three roster slots, you've got to get
five, we're not even counting Sunday, you've got to get five games between Monday to Saturday
through each roster spot. And there are different ways to do that. One of them is the Monday to
use their back to backs. You don't use a roster move then you drop and then you get a three game
in four night. That is a five game slot using one move. The other way to do it is the Monday guy
and drop him and then add games in. But you want five per slot. That's getting six is
basically impossible with the lack of back to backs this week and the way the schedule plays out.
You want five per roster slot to get you the best result you have. But there's going to be so much
unplanned chaos that even your best laid plans are going to be tough. And I would try to hold
at least one move for the weekend or for Sunday at least. Just in case you get six blocks out
and you can drop him and then it becomes a non-overload day for you. That's the other part.
If you have a lot of guys out Sunday that becomes a non-overload and then it comes back into play
and a lot of your plans are changed. So just usually have the idea what ever move you make do not
drop someone in the middle of a back to back. Bad decision. Try to make sure that you are gaining
an advantage of two games with a move. Usually if you can gain two moves, two games over a four
day period versus if you had to leave the roster spot alone, that's a W. If you can gain two over
a four day period. But that is all highly dependent on what your current roster looks like and how
you approach it. It's not easy. Good luck with it. Let's talk about weekly leagues before we get
out of here. Who are some guys that are available that you can add? And again, there's a lot of
risk associated here. I think let it Miller is probably worth a look. Jalen Smith is done. Nick
Richards is currently hurt. I hope that Miller gets enough run. I've not have been as you're aware,
not a core Mack Christie guy all season, but Max Christie with four games this week is probably
worth looking at. Keon Ellis is probably okay to slot into a weekly lineup. If you want to
get a little bit deeper, what about Sharif Cooper in Washington? That's very risky, but maybe
and then Brandon Williams in Dallas. These are just available everywhere. They just might be sneaky
enough to get enough games in. And then the last part of the weekly league sixth section is what do
you do with the two game teams? Who do I start on Portland and on Denver? Big Chungus easy start.
Jamal Murray, I would start. That's it. I would not start any up near with a two game week.
I would not start Donovan clinging with a two game week. That's going to bring me to a discussion
on clinging people seem to have this idea. Yeah, looking at what? I was not a big fan of Donovan
clinging. I and some of this is true. Some of it's not. Some of it's been born out. So I did not
particularly like what he did last season. He's taken huge steps forward. I still don't think
that he's a star level center at all. But he's been very good for fantasy leagues. And he's
second half of the season has been very good. I'm a little concerned that they keep sort of dropping
his minutes down. And when you look at like which teams produce the best value for for centers,
Paulins like top five. Like they're giving the Vooge bump without having Vooge. That's a little
concerning to me where you know if your center goes up against clinging he's got to put up some
good numbers, which I don't know why that is. But yeah, we can look at clinging's value.
And because people are going to look at it, you're going to get nine count fluffed here in a huge
way because it's going to tell you that over the last two months, he's a top 15 player.
So you're going to go, well, of course I would start him in two games. Well, would you?
He's realistic. He's a two category player. He gets a lot of rebounds. One of the best rebounds
in the league. That's great. He blocks shots at a very high rate. Very good. But we know the block
problem. Yes. Highly variable. And you're playing two games. What if he goes one block, one block?
He can get 30 rebounds into a game easy. He might get two blocks. He might get 20 points, 24 points.
He will not only shoot 51% with under 70 from the line. He is going to be a gigantic overdraft
next season because people are going to it's going to be exactly the same story that we've seen
with so many of these high block centers over the years where people get their nine count values
and overvalue them. I can tell you when Miles Turner started going round two. When Jaron Jackson
started going at the turn of round one, when people were grabbing Walker Kessler inside the top 20,
it doesn't work. It never works. Having these incredibly limited players who have two gigantic spikes,
and he doesn't even have the Rudy go bear. Well, Rudy go bear would go in round two. Doesn't make sense.
And go bear at least would have the huge field goal percentage boost, which Klingen does not.
So while I was wrong on him being impactful this season, he's been way better than I thought. He
has been so much better. I'm still a little concerned or confused as why they prioritize
young Hunts and in the draft, but whatever. Klingen's taken big steps forward. But he is going to be
incredibly overdrafted and I would be incredibly cautious about starting Don Klingen
in a two game week. Four reference. Durant, my ranking system for head to head leagues has
been 51st over the last two months. Nine count leagues, straight nine count rankings 15th.
Average in 14 and 13, with 2.2 blocks. On 51% shooting 69 from the line, two assists 0.7
steals 1.3. They're fine numbers. They're not top 15. Denny over the time by straight nine count,
by the way, is 101st I think. He's a huge overdraft risk and I would be very, very cautious
about locking Don Klingen into a two game week this week. That's a week preview done that went
for a very long time. It's a confusing week. Good luck to you guys. Thumb it up, double bang.
Thank you so much for listening, everyone. See ya.
