Wisconsin Badgers Hire New Director of Scouting

On March 6th, the Wisconsin Badges football team is shaking things up after a four-win,

eight-law season in the Big Ten last year, where they went.

Two and seven in conference play.

Head Coach Luke Fickle is staying put, but the program just hired Darius Hicks as their new director of scouting and player personnel.

Hicks comes over from Michigan State, where he held the same job.

That's a step up, especially since the Spartans are struggling even more than Wisconsin right now.

Earlier this week, reports confirmed Hicks started at Michigan State as a defensive analyst in 2023 after coaching defensive backs at Southeast Missouri State.

He played college ball at Morningside University in Iowa and held various coaching roles there and at Emporia State over the years.

He's replacing Ethan Russo, who is only with the Badges for one season before heading to Oklahoma State.

Turnover like this has been common lately.

Thanks to the transfer portal and name, image, and likeness, deals shaking of college football.

Wisconsin hopes Hicks sticks around long term to help land the recruits they need to rebuild their roster and get back to contending.
