Wisconsin Badgers Land Mallinger Brothers, Climb Recruiting Rankings

On April 2nd Wisconsin Badgers just locked in a huge win on April 1st, with commitments

from offensive lineman Hunter and Reese Malinger.

These brothers marked the 6th and 7th pledges for the class of 2027, and it wasn't some

April Fool's prank.

The Badgers have flipped their recruiting game, zeroing in on homegrown talent, and now

all 7 commits hail from right here in Wisconsin.

That's a shift from recent years, and it's clicking hard.

In March 5th, they've snagged four pledges, starting with Verona's Ethan McIntosh back

on November 12th, 2025, followed by two.

More in January of 2026, folks are buzzing about this in-state pipeline building Real Momentum.

The Malinger twins shot the class up to number 14 nationally on 247 sports, putting Wisconsin

ahead of most Big 10 rivals.

Lee Nebraska, Washington, USC, and Ohio State rank higher in the conference right now.

With this foundation locked, the Badgers are primed for a strong finish, stacking more

talent to chase that top 15 spot through the spring.
