Wisconsin Badgers Lose Recruit to Iowa Hawkeyes

On March 31st, Wisconsin Badgers just took a hit in recruiting, losing three star offensive

lineman Riley Newman to the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Ohio kid committed to Iowa on March 30th, flipping his plans faster than expected after

an early visit to Madison.

He bumped up his Wisconsin trip from June 4th through 7th to May 28th through 31st.

That move cleared his schedule for June 5th through 7th visit to Iowa City and it paid

off big for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa's fans are feeling the sting since their first chat with Newman happened back on March

3rd.

Iowa swooped in quick, building on their track record of turning offensive lineman

into pros.

Iowa keeps stacking talent up front, with guys like Logan Jones and Jennings Dunker proving

they develop players right.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin holds verbal commits from five in-state prospects for the class of

2027.

The Badgers staff heads back to the board, hunting more lineman to bolster that class

before it slips away.
