Wisconsin Badgers QB Room: New Faces, New Scheme

On March 30th, Wisconsin Badgers just flipped their quarterback room this off-season, bringing

in transfers Colton Joseph and Doose Adams Plus.

Four-star high school standout Ryan Hockins.

They got another four-star recruit, Carter Smith, lined up for 2025, all aiming to spark

a stronger offense after last year's rough.

Ride.

Under new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes, they're hunting dual threat guys who can run

and throw to lift the whole attack.

With so many fresh faces at quarterback and skill spots, plus new coaches, they slowed

down the playbook install compared to past years to lead.

Everyone catch up.

Grimes says it's about striking that balance in this new college football era, pushing

players without overwhelming them ahead of spring and fall camp.

The staff's cool with some early errors, especially from quarterback's testing limits against

defenses, as long as there are fresh mistakes that build.

Real growth.

Doose Adams has snagged plenty of reps early in spring behind Joseph, and Grimes digs

his steady vibe, no big highs or lows.

He's got solid touch on the ball, made some sharp plays, and fits as an all-around competitor

still ramping up in the new scheme.

Badgers are crossing fingers for better injury breaks that QB then lately, no matter who's

slinging it.
