Wisconsin Badgers Recruiting: Early Bird Special

On March 12, the Wisconsin Badgers are getting an early jump on recruiting for their class of 2028.

They're hosting in State Titan Jake Mao for a visit on April 11, and they've extended offers to safety drake owner and offensive lineman.

Nick Anderson. Jake Mao would be a big win for the program as a local talent, helping build momentum for future classes.

Meanwhile, offensive line coach Eric Mateos is pushing hard for Anderson, a six foot four 260 pound standout from Pennsylvania, who's the top offensive lineman in his state.

Anderson plays at Kiske area high school and only has four division one offers so far, which shows Wisconsin spots his potential early.

On the other hand, call their faces stiffer competition as Indian is number one safety with 13 offers from schools like Oregon, Ole Miss and Michigan.

He's got a visit lined up with Ohio State 2, and at five foot 11, 195 pounds, he impresses with speeds over 20 miles per hour.

The Badgers already hold a commitment from in-state safety Dustin Roach in the class of 2027, but they're wisely stacking depth.

This proactive approach keeps Wisconsin competitive as they shape their roster for the long haul.
