Wisconsin Badgers' Transfer Blitz: New Faces, Old Leadership

On March 28th Wisconsin Badgers went all-in on the transfer portal this

off-season, grabbing 33 new players for a total roster overhaul, that put them

eighth in the nation for transfers and second among teens without a coaching

change right behind Colorado. They filled needs across every position but poured

resources into an offense that finished 134th nationally last year. Think fresh

quarterback room, three running backs, a bunch of wider siebers, two tight-ends and

four offensive linemen to rebuild the line. Coming off three rough seasons

under Luke Fakel, the team needed that shake-up and now leadership is key with

so many new faces hitting spring. Practices. Offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes

highlighted a few standouts early on like receiver Chris Brooks who stepped up

vocally after battling injuries. Wide-out Tyrell Henry with his huddle energy and

quarterback Colton Joseph, their top portal get, who's growing into the role

week by week. These vets are setting the tone now but expect more voices to rise

as camp rolls on and the Badgers gear up for a rebound.
