Wisconsin Lands Sorgi, Boosts 2027 Recruiting Class

On April 25th, Wisconsin football just snagged a big win on the recruiting trail, landing

four-star quarterback Jack Sorge for the Class of 20, 27.

This guy is the son of former Badger Starter Jim Sorge, who balled out from 2000 to 2003.

It's their ninth commitment, this cycle, and the first from outside Wisconsin.

Sorge hails from Indiana, where he's ranked as the number seven recruit in the state,

the 23rd Best Quarterback Nationally, and the three.

The 30th overall player by 247 sports.

Before him, the Badgers lock down eight in-state kids, including three blue chip studs, building

a solid base early.

Fans are buzzing about this family legacy tie, seeing it as a nod to Wisconsin's tradition

of developing homegrown talent.

It amps up the hype around the program's push to rebound from that number, 72 finish,

in the 2026 class.

Now with Sorge on board, Wisconsin's 20, 27 class jumps to number 18 overall and

number seven in the Big 10 on the on three rankings, or number 16 overall and number seven

in the conference on 247 sports.

That's a strong early flex.

The Badgers are rolling toward official visits in May, stacking commitments that could vault

them even higher before the dust settles.
