With the seventh pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft,
Washington selects tackle Miami,
Francis, Maui Noah.
That's what Victor IV at the athletic has mocked to Washington at number seven.
That's a new one.
How would you feel if with bane,
tape, downs, and even delaying still on the board,
Washington took a tackle.
Now, from a friend of mine,
Frank, who is a big draft guy, he just said,
look at his arm length.
He's going to play guard in the NFL.
Actually would be a great pick for Washington.
He's going to be an all pro NFL guard.
Okay, yeah, I did look at his arm length a little bit shorter.
Could be one of those guys.
It gets drafted and immediately moved inside.
Washington brought Chris Paul back.
They've got Brandon Coleman.
How would you feel?
If on the clock, a month from last night,
we're expecting an edge or receiver or Jeremiah love,
maybe a delay in a corner.
This is who we've focused on.
This is a new one in terms of a player being mocked.
But how would you feel if it happened?
Look, for me,
I want them to take the best player on their board.
I want them to draft their board.
And we can evaluate how they do next year or the year
after and we'll have a bunch of years now with drafts.
But you've got to add a players to your roster.
You don't have enough of them right now.
I mean, you've got one at quarterback
and you've got one at receiver.
And at this point, it's kind of all we know
in terms of a true a blue chipper.
You've got to add players that can become all pro
caliber players.
And if that guy is the highest rated player on your board
and you can't trade back,
I would trust the board personally.
I hope that he's not the highest rated player on the board.
I hope it's a player that can fill an immediate need for next year.
But I wouldn't be screaming and yelling about it.
Especially if the plan was to move them inside.
And they, you know, they got honorily,
they got a guard, they extended tonsil,
they've got cosmic,
got to go get a center.
Ross, what would your reaction be?
Go ahead.
You don't know what's up, Ross.
Not much, man.
Hey, give me some spirit on them helmets.
By the way, anyway, so I'll be pretty shocked if they did it.
But at the same time, though,
that just goes to show that we don't know nothing.
We absolutely have no idea.
We speculate that every position except for quarterback and line.
So if he's a true guard,
then that would be interesting.
Because like you said, you had just brought back Paul.
We got Brandon Coleman,
which I never thought he struggled last year when he did play guard.
But I don't really focus on the line play when I'm watching the game in real time.
But listen,
I wouldn't have too much of a problem.
If you really want to build like the really second variation of the hogs,
then whatever helps us out.
But honestly,
when we stick and pick at seven,
and give me, give me the Mansor Delane.
Take it not one to run another 40 at the pro day,
the other day was kind of disappointing.
If you want to sit on that four or five,
I'd say okay.
But if we don't get the diamond,
I'll take Mansor Delane.
If we get the lineman,
let it be Monroe Freeling.
I think he's a better prospect just in my personal opinion.
Yeah, he's more of a tackle for sure.
And they drafted one in the first round last year.
So that would be interesting.
The Maui Noah makes a little bit more sense
if that's would be the plan with any team that drafts him.
That the, you know, they're not super short arms,
but they're shorter than most of the premier tackles in the game.
You know, it's a Brandon Sheriff situation.
So maybe he would get moved inside.
Thanks for the call.
Ross Anthony, go ahead.
Kevin, it's a three two proposition.
Hall of Fame, all pro,
a pro bowl,
which play, which other available players
has the greatest potential to be a Hall of Famer.
That's who I want.
And then you go down from there.
It's I don't know that they talk that way,
you know, in their evaluation.
But you and I would talk about it that way.
And the way you described it,
I want the player that I actually believe
can one day be a Hall of Famer when I'm drafting at number seven.
And if that player doesn't exist,
then I'd like to trade back and acquire more picks.
But that's always hard because what I think may match up to what a lot of other teams think.
But yeah, I mean, if he's the one that's on the board and they're like,
we like Tate, we like Delane, we like Bane.
But this dude's going to be a Hall of Fame guard.
Sure.
Absolutely.
I'm with you.
We need great players.
We don't have enough of them.

Wayfair every style, every home.
Exactly, we haven't had potential hall of famers.
I can't even think back to who was the last one.
Well Trent.
Lavar.
Lavar.
Well Trent.
Possibly.
Well, okay, Trent.
Okay, well, yeah, Trent.
Other than that, Lavar is the closest one after him.
We haven't come close.
Well, Sean was a future.
Sean looked like a hall of famer when they drafted him,
and then played like one, or was certainly playing like one.
So I would say, I wouldn't go all the way back to Lavar.
I would say Sean felt that way when he got drafted.
Yeah, I missed on Sean, but yeah, but that that that shows you the
start of the absence of talent that we've had over the decades.
So that's all I got.
But you know, you know this Anthony,
if that's the pick, it would be shocking,
and it would be majorly disappointing,
and people would be calling on the day after one month from today,
they'd be calling for Adam Peters' head.
So we don't know what they're doing.
We have no idea what we're doing.
They'd be storming the castle with pitchforks.
Be amazing.
All right, thanks, man.
Appreciate it.
Coming up on the show,
Beaumarshanti's been a draft expert for a long time on college2pro.com.
He's always been one of my favorites.
By the way, a Canadian,
but was a big skins fan at one point,
and really loved the hogs and the teams of the 80s and 90s.
We've had Bo on the show for the last four or five years,
this time of year.
He's coming up at 11.
We'll get back to the tournament with Nocki at 1130.
And there's a player that I really would love to see
in a Washington uniform.
Not at seven,
but if somehow this dude were still around
on day three or night two in the third round
when they pick at 71.
And look, maybe they'll end up with more picks.
Maybe they'll move back and acquire a second-round pick.
But this player, to me, is a player that is almost can't miss
as an NFL prospect.
I'll tell you who that player is
after you hear from Beaumarshanti next at about 11.25.
But this has been one of my favorite players all season long.
He played next to a very, very good player.
I'm shocked he's not being targeted or projected
as a first-round pick.
That's coming up next hour.
