The Parnas Perspective — World Leaders Rebuke Trump in Stunning Move!. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
The world order is actively shifting right now. And as the president of the United States is focused on domestic issues and lying about where he was on 9-11, the world around the United States is backing away from the United States, our allies are becoming our adversaries. And we're seeing a major shift happening literally today that needs to be talked about. From a trade war with Canada that is escalating only further, Canada is shifting its resources from spending time with the United States to going to Europe. To European allies banning together on the issue of Israel and Palestine and much more. Well, we're seeing as some of our closest allies, countries that have been with the United States from the beginning, moving away in a way that we have not seen since the start of the first Trump administration. Yes, Trump has attacked our allies. Yes, Trump has suggested taking territory from our allies agreement. But today, there was a monumental shift and we're going to talk about it. So make sure to hit that subscribe button. We're on the road to a million subscribers.
Like, comment, share, get the word out. And I want to talk about where things stand. Because right now today, Donald Trump faces a crisis internationally on multiple fronts. Canada, Israel, Russia, Ukraine. And I want to talk about all three and how all three kind of play together. Because while we're facing these crises abroad, the president here at home is spending time talking about 9-11, where he was on 9-11 and ultimately lying about his whereabouts on 9-11, drawing condemnation from both conservatives and liberals alike. But it all started yesterday when he posted this map. I've shown you this map before. This is not a new thing to show you, but it sets the conversation. This map put the United States of America our flag on countries like Mexico, Canada, countries in the Caribbean, and Iceland. See, this morning, Iceland summons the US ambassador to Iceland and filed a formal notice with the US ambassador saying
that Iceland's territory, its sovereignty, should never be infringed upon. It wasn't just Iceland. Claudia Scheinbaum, the Mexican president, quickly came out over the past several hours inside in the month of the homeland. We affirm that Mexico is neither, nor will be a colony or protectorate of any foreign country. Proudly, we are free, independent, and sovereign nation, making clear that Mexico stands away from the United States of America. But that map, this one right here, really is a, in a way, a distraction underpinning what we're seeing as this world order actively shifts underneath our feet. Because we have the trade war with Canada. Canada has begun retaliating. tariffs took effect today. Massive tariffs, by the way, 50% tariffs on a whole host of goods, 25% tariffs on things like dairy, 15% tariffs on things that Americans rely on every single day electronics and more. That happened today, and Americans are going to start feeling the pain quickly.
And Mark Carney, the Canadian Prime Minister is making clear. Listen, hey, you need to understand that this is not what we wanted, but it's something we have to deal with because of where the president of the United States has put us. Take a listen. Stronger now than when the United States started this trade war a year and a half ago. More unified, more determined, more ambitious. Our non-US exports are up sharply, and they're on track to double over the next decade. Foreign direct investment in Canada is at its highest level in two decades, and it's running at twice the rate of our nearest G7 competitor. Canada is now rated as the most attractive country in the world for infrastructure investment. Our growth is accelerating, and it's projected to be the second fastest in the G7 this year and next. So with the resilient economy and the strongest fiscal position in the G7, we have everything we need to pivot and prosper. That pivot will come at a cost. There's always a cost to action, but it doesn't come close to the cost of standing still.
And that right there is a significant statement, because we are seeing consistently after day after day, week after week, that G7 economies like Canada are performing, outperforming the United States of America, and arguably are doing better without American support than they were with American support. But that's not the only crisis facing this administration, because as this world order shifts, so to do the alliances in Europe, and we're going to talk about that momentarily. But before we do, a lot of you know I have a new baby. It's why I partnered with a company called Factor. They help me stay literally fed. So take a listen. As many of you may know, I have a new daughter. She's almost six months old and time is flying, but also if you're a new parent or if you're a parent generally, you know that having a baby in home makes life a little difficult and making things like eating normal food and real food is also pretty difficult cooking, things like that. I highly recommend using them, but let's talk about how this world order shifting because we saw Canada, right? Now let's look
at Israel Gaza. Actually, Israel Palestine, because we're not talking about Gaza anymore. We're now talking about the West Bank. We're still talking about the Gaza and other about Gaza in other ways, but now we're talking about the West Bank today, because here's what happens. Something significant. 12 countries issued a joint statement announcing bans on trading goods from illegal Israeli settlements. When I say we're not talking about Gaza in this, because these settlements are not in Gaza. The settlements are located in the occupied West Bank, which is separate from Gaza. Gaza is on the water, whereas the occupied West Bank is inland near Jordan, if you know the map. But something significant happened today. Yesterday, we knew that the United Kingdom was going to come out and issue this ban on trade with the legal Israeli settlements. What we didn't know is that it was actually going to have a coalition of 12 American allies, France, the UK, Canada, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden. Some some big heavy hitters here, including the UK and France. Very big heavy hitters. And also close allies like Norway, Poland,
Portugal, Poland is also a big one, by the way, because Poland, yeah, I mean, this is big. Anyway, they stated this Macron, Burnham, and Karnia agreed that the situation is deteriorating with unprecedented settler violence and settlement expansion, specifically calling the E1 project inadmissible. So Israel wants to build more settlements in this section called E1 in the West Bank. And while they say that we shouldn't let that happen, mind you, these settlers, settler violence has been on the rise. The American government has even called Israeli settlers terrorists, by the way. They go on to say that the statement demands Israel immediately stopped settlement expansion, hold violent settlers accountable and investigate allegations against Israeli forces. All of this is being done, by the way, against the American president. Donald Trump's wishes were for this not to happen, but they're still happening nonetheless. Take a listen to the UK Prime Minister talking about this historic ban on trading goods from Israeli settlers. And today we act in constant with others in a broad international coalition. I can tell the
House that today France and Canada are announcing alongside Britain that they will also ban the import of goods from illegal settlers. Joining the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Spain, and Norway, which are either banned goods are in the process of doing so, with many other countries, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden pledging today they will support further action. Madam Deputy Speaker, this is what Britain can achieve leading with others. This is what Britain can achieve leading with others. That's significant because it's no longer the United States leading with others. It's now Britain leading with others or Canada leading with others. And it's not just in Israel that we're seeing this. It's also in Ukraine. Jared Kushner and Steve Whitcock, Donald Trump's on voice for this piece deal with Russia and Ukraine, went to Russia, met with the Kremlin, met with Vladimir Putin, went to Ukraine, met with President Zolinsky. They were really, really peppered with tough questions about this administration's lack of progress in the war. Take a listen. We will. There are news, Max. Thank you. This is for Mr.
Whitgoth, Mr. Kushner. During your time as President Trump's on voice, Russia has escalated its war against Ukraine. It has intensified its hybrid attacks against NATO and it's deep in its ties with the likes of Iran and North Korea. So far diplomacy has not changed Vladimir Putin's position. Following your latest meetings here, and in Moscow, you say there are some new ideas we've heard that before. You said that you're going to try. But if there is no breakthrough after these peace talks, is the US prepared to increase pressure on Russia? Thank you. So, look, we were sitting before with Germany, which was a former enemy of the US. There's no such thing in the world as forever enemies or forever allies. So we have to start with a first principle's idea of what the best outcome could be and what benefits all people. President Trump comes from the business world, which in the business world you think about things
in the context of when, when, how do you create opportunities for both sides to do what's in their interests? A war is negative, you know, everyone loses from war. Whereas, you know, business and peace is positive some and hopefully you can find big benefits from that in a big way. So the role that Stephen I plan again, we're part of a team in the US government again, led by President Trump and the Vice President J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio and there's obviously, you know, Secretary Hegseth and the military and the intelligence groups as well. Our role is to try to be the ones who are pursuing the peace. And like I said, if it was easy, it would have been done a long time ago, but it's a very important and noble pursuit and we're going to keep doing it with everything we have. And President Trump obviously has a has a lot of different ways to play it, but he's always focused on what are the best interests of America and the United States and how do you find a way to do this in a way that can. That's an interesting statement given the fact that Kushner saying, well, this isn't us, right? We're trying to get a peace deal, but it's actually Trump.
And Trump is undermining progress. What is Trump doing? Well, he's talking about 9-11, and as many have pointed out, he's actually lying about where he was on 9-11. And conquer and no terror can destroy. For three months, after September 11, the flames raged in the rubble of ground zero for nine months, rescue and recovery crews worked day and night on the site. I want to just thank my people. I took a lot of my, I was building a big building in New York and I took the whole crew down there right after this happened and they were, they had no hesitation. Everybody went down with me. We went down as a big group of people. Wasn't too much we could do. I'll be honest. It was, you know, it was raw and nobody seen anything like it ever. We had other buildings. The United States Steel Building was creaking really creaking. Now we thought it was going to fall down. The truth is it creaked a lot. It creaked in still creaks. But it never came down. And I will never forget two firemen. We thought it was coming
down on top of us and two firemen. Big, strong guys. And I'm not the smallest guy in the world. They grabbed me under the arm. I said, gotta get out of here. And they literally lifted me up. This is not easy to do. I'm big. They lifted me up and they started running with me. I said, fellas, I can run myself. But they were amazing. But they thought it was coming down. It didn't come down. US Steel. People pointed out quickly that this is actually what he was doing on 9-11. Donald, you have one of the landmark buildings down in the financial district 40 Wall Street. Did you have any damage or what's happened down there? Well, it was an amazing phone call. I made 40 Wall Street. Actually, was the second tallest building in downtown Manhattan? And it was actually before the World Trade Center was the tallest. And then when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second tallest. And now it's the tallest. And I just spoke to my- So that's where we're at. More updates for you soon. Make sure to subscribe. Spread the word. See you soon.
