You're listening to Betting Weekly WTA on the Betrivers Network.
Hello everybody. Welcome on in. It's Benny Weekly WTA.
It's your tennis-bending podcast and YouTube show brought to you an association with our sponsors, Betrivers.
I'm your host, Nigel Ceeley. It's the back-to-back 1000s. It's the second leg of the Sunshine Double.
And looking at the heads to the best bets in Round 2 with the action starting tomorrow.
The big guns in action is our WTA handicap. It is Tim Dennis. Good afternoon.
Good morning to you, Tim. How are you, sir?
I'm Nigel. Very well. Thank you, I was a little bit concerned.
We might not have any matches to look at with the weather forecast has been in Miami.
But luckily, I think the rain managed to stay when the late evening last night shows.
So we've got a few matches to look at today, which is a issue's good news.
I think that's probably the best place to start with the weather.
We did expect some really bad weather.
It didn't really materialize. There was a few showers and a little bit of some interruptions in play, particularly on Monday.
But the schedule looks pretty good now. And the Sunshine is out.
I mean, it's called the Sunshine Double for a reason. And it looks like it's going to be quite sunny in Miami.
Yeah, I think certainly the matches we're going to look at on Thursday.
Conditions are sort of still a little bit cool. It's kind of mid-70s.
But the main thing is it's going to be dry.
And I think there might be a little bit of rain about Friday.
But I think from Saturday onwards, hopefully it looks set there for tennis.
And hopefully there won't be any interruptions.
Because I think a few of the matches I've sort of watched so far.
The players have been on and off court quite, quite frequently.
So not not great for bedding on it here.
If your player wants to get into a rhythm, that's a little bit disruptive, but some.
But hopefully after, after sort of the weekend onwards, we're going to be set there and conditions getting warmer too.
I suppose the question I need to ask you really to me.
You've watched a bit of tennis action in between the rain delays.
We did expect it to be quite quick.
In Miami, thought the weather might have an impact on the court speeds.
They're not using the main court at the moment.
That's not ready to practice.
And they're not ready for the tournament until I think it might be in action on Thursday.
So there's only been the outside courts.
And they usually quicker.
I don't know if you've got any sort of numbers, the speed figures that you can talk about.
But is it what we expected?
Or is there any change in the in the court conditions that you thought pre tournament?
Yeah, when I'm still waiting for some of the numbers to come through from round one.
Because we've got a lot more round one matches that they've taken place on the Wednesday before.
The second round action starts on the Thursday.
So they're still to come through.
But we're looking at the matches I've seen.
We spoke about this previous on the preview show.
Some of the some of the outside courts certainly look a little bit quicker to the eye.
And I'm the sort of stadium courts do seem to play that that fraction slower.
I think when the conditions warm up, which they're looking to at the weekend onwards.
That's when you see the conditions get a little bit quicker.
I think that the with the humidity as well.
The balls tend to fluff up a little bit more.
So that's something to keep an eye on, especially if you're sort of keeping an eye on when you're.
Your players are sort of holding serve.
If you're betting in play after sort of seven games before they change the balls,
you might be looking to keep an eye on that might be an opportune time to break a serve.
Because they'll be going through the air a little bit slow and a little bit easier for the returner.
But some.
But yes, still on the quick side, but but certainly not as quick as as we've seen before.
Now, we don't know the order play as of yet for Thursday, which is quite influential.
Really, the evening games will be a little cooler than the afternoon games.
But the action will start around about 12 o'clock eastern time.
And the bet rivers will have a full host of markets on all the action in the second round on the app.
Download the app.
And if you do place a wager on the bet rivers app, you can live stream the match.
Do you have place the wager on?
Just a little bit of background.
This is the time where the 32 seeds come in.
32 seeds.
The top 32 in the world have a buy-through to round two.
And the big guns are in action from tomorrow.
So they start off with a big gun.
A egoshrontek former champion here.
The last woman to complete the sunshine double.
She's up against Magdalene.
The pole is minus 2000 on the money line.
Not for me, but some people might risk $2,000 to win 100.
Magdalene is plus 850.
The spread here is six and a half total is 17 and a half.
So bet rivers are expecting it to be fairly one sided.
For a shrontek to win two sets to love, which you would expect to win.
It's minus 455.
You're not going to get rich on that set spread as well.
But there is a whole host of markets that you may want to get involved in
if you are getting with the former world number one.
The pair have met once before.
It was in 2023 in Beijing.
An egoshrontek.
I have no problems that they win 6161.
She's doing okay, shrontek.
But she has some shock defeats.
She's got beat by a sackery in the quarterfinals in Doha.
And it's Fittalina in Indian Worlds.
And she's showing signs that she's not happy with her game,
but temperamentals, mashing rackets are very unlikely.
But she should have it very, very comfortable here against Magdalene
in this much.
Or maybe so.
Could make it let put up a bit of a shock.
I'd be surprised if she can.
I think it's interesting with Sriancek.
Isn't she?
We saw her have a little bit of a meltdown at her team in that match in Indian Worlds.
I've seen her get a little bit sort of angry before,
but that's the sort of anger as I've seen her.
She was desperately upset with the sort of how she was playing.
You couldn't really find an answer.
So I've been seeing Sriancek.
It's been there here.
As you said, the one head they had, they had to,
which was in Beijing a couple of years ago.
She won very, very comfortably.
6161.
I think she won 84% of her first surf points one there.
And a seventh up.
She led the service points one return points one.
I think it's been 34 to 66.
So an extremely dominant victory.
I thought before she got knocked out in India.
Well, she looked in really good form.
She was.
She avenged that defeat she had against Maria Sackery.
She was excellent against Mukavir in a game which we cashed on as well.
And before she lost to this Fittalina in the game,
she got sort of really upset with.
So.
I did see good signs from her,
but also went back sort of level steps up against it.
She was the last pair like Fittalina.
She was just found a little bit wanting.
She obviously two time winner here.
She lost in the quarterfinals last year to Ayala.
And that's kind of,
who's almost at this stage last year,
where it kind of went a bit wrong for her, didn't it?
Where she didn't play well on the cloud.
I think she lost a few early on in Rome, perhaps.
And obviously didn't defend her title at Roland Garris,
which is where she seems most happiest.
I think in the last 52 weeks on tour,
that players, Aegis Fion, take us played outside the top 50,
well, that 50 or above.
And Magnum there is actually classes 50 in the world.
She's lost over a 25 match period.
She's lost two of those matches.
And fun enough.
And they came in their last three games.
They came to Maria Sacri and Daria Cazakina.
But she averages just a loss of 6.45 games per match
against players ranked 5th year above.
So I think the line is probably about right.
But I think the net will know she'll take very well here.
The game's total had me reasonably insured a thought.
Over 17.5 games at minus 1 to 8 was probably a reasonable way to go.
I think Lynette, she's one of her first match here already.
So she's used to conditions.
She did actually quite well because she came through against Favrear,
Cretceva after losing the first set.
I think she then went on to win 12 next 14 games.
And last year she made the quarterfinals, not on route.
She beat Goff and Alex Androva along the way.
So I think she can probably cover that 17.5 square.
I did look at the handicap.
But I think the total games is probably the better way to go.
Yeah, so the game's over 17.5 is minus 1 to 8.
A bit short, but we expected to make the Lynette to put up a bit of a fight.
A little bit more fight that she did the last time they played in Beijing.
Let's move on to our second match.
It's at least Jacamo up against Marie Buskeva.
Buskeva's minus 3.33 here.
Jacamo is plus 2.25 spread 4.5 total, 20.5.
I was quite surprised to see the money line for Bowskeva minus 3.33.
But when you look at Jacamo's form, she's in drastic form.
She only won two of her nine matches on the hard court this season.
And she's only won one of her last seven competitive matches.
On the flip side, Bowskeva has only won one of her last six as well.
So these are two players in a bit of a bad form.
The head Ted is in favor of Jacamo actually.
She played the US Open in 20.25 and won in round 16.463.
That was only a year ago.
And in that match, Jacamo was a two to one shot.
And Bowskeva was minus 1.33.
And she won 1.250.
And she actually beat her.
So can she overturn the odds again in this one?
Yeah, I think you're probably going to have to be quite brave.
Getting involved on Buskeva at minus 3.33.
Having lost that head to head match and plus the form.
Neither of these players in great form, though.
She obviously won that match.
The US Open 6.463.
And I think she led the service points one of the 10 points.
I was pretty comfortable with that there 111 to 89.
So she should take plenty of confidence from that.
She won her first round match here and in a marathon match.
So it was three hours and 22 minutes.
She was on court for when she lost the first set.
7.6 in a tie break and took the next two.
7.5.
7.5 against Darja Vida Mova.
I think in that match, there were 238 points,
which for a women's 3.6 in the tennis is quite extraordinary.
And so obviously she'll be very appreciative of the day off today.
That was her first winning five matches, though.
I think she beat an injured Mar-to-Costick at the US Open.
I think the last win before that came back in December.
So it's really not finding means very easy to come by.
I think Buskeva, she's also not in great form.
She's only won one of the last six matches she's made.
And that came by retirement over Arango in Mexico.
So I think in the last two years, she's never been passed the last 64 here either.
So not a place she does great at.
And I think with both players who spoke about this before,
you've got players struggling for wins.
I think lacking confidence.
I thought over two and a half sets was probably a good way to go here.
When I was, that was still waiting to happen.
I'd be priced up with betrothes earlier.
So we could look at the total games.
It's over 20.5 at minus 119.
But I think the over two and a half sets was quite,
so I, so it is there plus plus 170 over two and a half sets.
And I think that looks good.
Good way to go.
Yeah, over two and a half sets plus 170 Jacamo against Buskeva,
expect this one to be a little bit closer than those odds suggest.
As you know, this is the second leg of the Sunshine double.
It's very hard to complete the Sunshine double.
But bet rivers are giving you a bit of a start.
Give me a bit of a profit boost on it.

So brilliant offer there from bet rivers on the Sunshine double promo code

You might want to have a bet on any of these picks that Tim has mentioned
then when they start 12 o'clock Eastern time.
Let's move on to our next match.
It's Mira and Draver who is not in the best of form.
That must be said.
She's up against decent opponent here in McCartney Kessler.
Mira and Draver was still a heavily favourable bet.
It was minus 526.
McCartney Kessler's plus 340.
It was a massive five and a half.
And the total here was 19 and a half.
I expect McCessler to put up and McCartney Kessler to put up a bit of a fight here.
And Draver is 2-0.
There's only minus 185 and there's a whole host of markets to get with
or against the young Russian girl.
They head to head.
It's 1-0.
So Kessler.
And that was last year in Montreal.
She won 7664.
There has been money for Mira and Draver, which surprises me.
She's got beat whilst in the archaver in the last match against India.
There's Annie Simone, Windy Bayern, Bucoo and Doha.
It's fit to lean in the Australian Open.
It all doesn't seem well for me in the Andraver camp.
But she's heavy favour here.
What's your thought of that price?
Very short price for Mira and Draver.
Yeah, extremely short.
We've seen there have plenty of problems we spoke about in the previous show.
How obviously she sort of fall out with a crowding in your mouth there.
When she walks off the court bench she and obviously this is still in America in Miami
against an American.
So this could be tougher, especially with that initial 1-0 to mark out the Kessler coming already.
When she led the service points, 1-10 points, 1-10 was that day 102-98.
And she actually created 14 break points on Andraver's serve.
And Andraver actually only created 9 against Kessler.
So I think these are probably going to be fairly similar conditions to Montreal.
She should come in here with a bit of confidence.
She had a good victory in Round 1 beating Magdalena Freck having lost the first 6-6-2.
She went on to win the next 2-6-2-6-4.
I think she won 71% of her first serve points there and 85% of her service games.
So I think if she can sort of match that level here, obviously it goes up against Andraver.
But with that win already under a belt, she should be pretty confident.
Kessler also made that last 32 heart last year.
She beat the aforementioned Maria Busker along the way.
And she also beat Linda Noscler as well.
Before she had to retire against Rhett O'Connor in the last 32.
So clearly goes well in these conditions as well.
And I think, as we've mentioned with Andraver,
I mean, what are your thoughts?
Because she's going to be clearly a little bit unpopular here.
It was all over social media where she looked to be almost cursing at the crowd
as she walked off court there that day didn't she?
Yeah, I mean, I definitely wouldn't be better.
I mean, she should come through this match.
But I think Macartney Kessler won a game with home support.
And what's going on in the world at the moment?
I think Andraver is going to be a very, very popular player in Miami.
And I think the total games here looked really chic to me at 19 and a half.
And I definitely bet in the American on the spread as well.
I would expect Andraver to win it.
But those odds, I wouldn't touch that at all.
Yeah, I was surprised.
I was looking at some way to get with Kessler.
And I think the best way I came up with is was over 19 and a half total games.
I'd like to think she's the way she serves in these conditions.
She should be capable of giving that.
Obviously, Andraver, she won that tournament and Adelaide,
didn't she at the start of the season.
But she's still sort of really looking to get her tournament going.
She had reasonably early exits in Doha, Dubai,
and obviously defending champion in your world.
So she's still got a little bit to prove, I think.
And I think, yeah, over 19 and a half games,
minus one, one, four, look the best way to get with Kessler.
Yeah, over 19 and a half games, minus one, 14, also like the spread five and a half.
Mirror Andraver has, see it, she really got some issues at the moment.
And her game isn't at its best.
Another player that's striking in a little bit,
not as bad as Mirror Andraver is a man that Annie Simover.
She ended last season in great form.
This season, it hasn't really happened for her.
But she's having to, up against Arla Tomyalovich.
The Aussie is trying to have a little bit of a comeback.
She's at the world end of her career at the moment.
But this might be a little bit of a test for Annie Simover.
She's still minus 770 with Bet Rivers.
Remember, this match starts at 12 o'clock,
since I'm all the play, check him out with the Bet Rivers app.
Plus, 450 for Tomyalovich.
Spread here was five and half of the total here,
is 19 and a half with the under, the heavy favorite, minus one, 33.
They have made a couple of times before.
But the last time they met was in 2021.
There's not really much to go on in the way of the head,
so Annie Simover has become on leaps and bounces then,
and Tomyalovich is to, like I say, towards the end of her career.
But this might be a little bit trickier than those odds suggesting.
Yeah, I think we've then sort of put a line through the head.
Ted's been getting sort of me five years ago now.
Tomyalovich, she looked okay here,
watched their game last night with Victor over Swiss players,
Simover in a wall tight and round one.
And she's now started to find a little bit of form.
She's now won six of her last nine matches,
and I think including there,
she's got a Victor over either job,
which with that quarterfinal in Austin.
And she took a set of Paulinean in your wells last week.
So, top 10 play, even low Pauline,
perhaps not in the best of four.
She only made the second round once here, though,
and that was in 2021 when she lost to a saga.
I think Annie Simover,
she looks to be trying to find out with a form again.
She'll be confident coming here, though.
She lives in Miami.
This is where her family's from.
So she's going to have plenty of support here
and conditions should really suit her hair with it being her home tournament.
She'd be and over here last year before losing to Radikarnu in the last 16.
And in what I will call similar conditions in her first round match this year.
Annie Simover sort of first round matches against sort of the lower ranked player.
She's meeting early on.
I think she won 6163 in Dubai,
6362 in Australia,
6163 in Brisbane,
and in China,
6163 and 632 in Straits in the US open.
So she does seem to come out the blocks firing in these sort of tournaments against the sort of lesser players.
So I was kind of looking at a China get rid of 10 minutes here,
reasonably comfortably.
So I did think the under 19,
I thought minus 130 through as was probably a little bit short.
If you want to be a little bit brave and move that toggle to minus 18,
that might be well worth looking at because she looks to be in these early matches against these lesser players.
She does look to be coming out of the box firing.
Yeah, so maybe go for 18 and a half there.
So there are the four matches that Tim has highlighted four round two tomorrow's action over in Miami.
He's giving you some leans, give you some selections.
What actually are your official picks in the team?
Have you got an official place?
Just having a look at the official plays there.
I think we'll look at the Maria and Jave McCartney-Kesley game.
I think over 19,
the half games in that one look to be a good one, the official play.
And I think the only other official play we look at is the in the Eagish Fiontec versus Magdener let over 17,
the half games.
So yeah, just a couple of over plays on the games in those two matches.
And remember, the match in starts tomorrow, 12 o'clock.
These are Thursdays, matches second round at the Miami 1000 WTA event.
