Hello, I just want to tell the people you're gonna be at the TD Garden Monday night rock coming up here on March 23rd

So thanks for joining us here

I cannot wait to be back in Boston. It's where I made my name roster debut

So it holds a special place in my heart

So did you have like a welcome to the WWE moment?

Maybe it was here in Boston for the debut or is it interacting with another wrestler or somebody who had watched what's one that sticks out to you early in your career

Yeah, you know, I think my debut on the main roster on Smackdown in Boston getting lost on the freeway in my rental car

That sticks out to me, you know

When you say when you say

How lost were you because it's easy to get lost in this city like how out on a scale like one to 10

You're like 10 out of 10 lost like way outside the city like how lost were you? Yeah

So here's the thing it's becoming a running joke because every single time I'm in Boston

I will come. I'll sign up for like a Pilates class before TV

You know pay my 35 dollars be on my way and then you know the mask

It confused in those tunnels with those exits and suddenly I've missed and ruined everything and I'm just like you know what

We're just we're just gonna go lay horizontal and reconvene

Not to tell tales out of school. Your birth name is not Maxine Dupree. What's that is I'm sorry Jones?

Did you have a say in coming up with your name?

Was there like a back and forth with there some other ones that it got down to I'm always curious with the wrestlers that wrestle under a different name

How you how you came up with that?

It's actually a funny story. It's my birth name is Sydney and when I signed to NXT, which is our developmental brand

I got to pick my name

So I picked the name Sophia and I was Sophia for a bit

And then when I was called up to main roster we had a character who you all know now is LA night

He was formerly known as Max Dupree my long lost brother who does not acknowledge me, which is so rude

But Max is just your Maxine

You know she was gonna join him on Smackdown in Boston and

So basically I had 48 hour notice and maybe less maybe 24 hours that I was Maxine and that was my new name and

Yeah, it was amazing

Now I also see you're the the alpha queen which was my nickname in high school

So I thought about I thought about a season to assist

But how do you how'd you come up with that? Oh

Actually, it's just a nickname that my my boy started calling me

So I am in a wonderful faction with Otis and Tazawa and we used to have a leader Chad Gable

Another one who lost his mind and left us

But they would call me the alpha queen Maxine

Okay, all right now. I like a rhyme. That's good. That's great. Yeah. I'm nothing if not professional

And I did some research prior to this interview and uh

It says you were a cheerleader for the LA Rams and a dancer for the Phoenix Sun

So to part question one is that true because I was from Wikipedia and you never know if that's even right and two

If it is true, which one did you enjoy more?

Oh

My gosh, you can't make me choose

So first of all, it is true

It is true though in the in the hot seat got to choose

Okay, so um

When I was a Los Angeles from cheerleader if you want to do a job where you are like, you know

Camperd and you're getting like see the world and do all these wonderful things. I say Los Angeles Rams

Phoenix Suns I had so much fun. I met so many of my best friends and it was a free for all

We were running around that arena making videos and just having ourselves a little ball

But it was definitely a lot more low-key than working for the NFL

So when you were doing those

And either one of those stops were you thinking a one day maybe I'll be in the WWE or like when when did that become a reality?

Yeah, it was something that we joked around with for sure because I loved Total Divas

Which was our reality show we had

And it was on all the women and I was in high school when that was airing and I was just upset so I was obsessed with development

Um, and then I was a performer

So I was always thinking like what's my next? Where am I going next? You know where can I perform next?

How am I gonna stay in the entertainment industry?

And it was actually during the time of COVID that I was really focusing on transitioning out of being a professional dancer

And I applied for a tryout a couple times

Ended up reaching out to my modeling agency

Got to try out with two weeks notice in Las Vegas at summer slam in 2021

Was told that day you are signing

Well, that's uh, you mentioned you watch total divas and you like the bellas. I'm curious. Did you watch

The traders because Nikki Bella was on a season of the traders and I feel like wrestlers would do well on that show

Yeah, I think that we need more wrestlers on the traders 100% like you want us to pretend

and act and

Survive these games like that's what we're built for

Yeah, exactly

Is that something would you be allowed to do that under like your current contract or that be something like former wrestlers would have to do

Um as long as it works within the company and the company is okay with you know where they're at with who's on TV and what's going on

Absolutely, I think they'd be I think they'd be like over the moon to have that because that's just a great crossover

That's our boss who stands on me and you going on the show and I'm trying out

Oh, we got Deontay Wilder. I would stay away from boxers. Oh, he would clip. I would steer out of boxers

Oh, he was not ready for that. He should not have been in the house. I don't think

Yeah, those that don't know the cliff notes is Deontay Wilder the boxer was in season two of the traders

He was adamant that somebody was a trader

They weren't a trader and then he felt so bad about it. He cried and quit

He basically just started pouring tears and left which like dude. It's the game Lord knows what's going on

It's true sure it was him and you're like it wasn't it's fine. That's the game

Move on to the next day and he cried and then quit the show and then they were like Deontay's

Which I and they never mentioned them again. I've almost done that on this show many times cried in many times

I thought about it
