Hey everyone and welcome to the next edition of the snapchat today we have a very special

snapchat because not only we've breaking down a new exciting season which honestly looks

incredible.

We have Dexter back on the snapchat my man it is great to have you back one of my favorite

people to have on riff bound extraordinaire dexter and now slay the spire extraordinaire dexter

dude you've been playing so many card games lately I'm just happy you're still playing

snap.

Oh god I am actually playing so many it's crazy it's expensive getting a physical

too but I'm playing snap I'm playing one piece I'm playing riff bound I'm playing slay

the spire TFT that's kind of a card game I'm playing a lot of things right now and keeping

up with four meadows it's kind of exhausting and I have a baby dude I made a baby.

Yeah you did you did that is that is factual and how has been fatherly life for you as

a streamer and content creator and everything because it's kind of a shock I'm sure for

a lot of people when it's like wait a minute I had so much free time before that I didn't

even realize why did anyone warn me yeah I mean I think people did warn me but I was

like it can't be that bad but yeah no more sleep I live off the like I'm happy if I get

six hours now but I think it's good man my baby is doing a lot better like she's sleeping

better throughout the night and my wife and I have just kind of like found a rhythm but

I don't know like back when snap first came out I would probably work like 18 hours

a day I would just play the game make video play the game make video I would release like

two YouTube shorts a day I do a stream I'd release like two different long form videos I

don't think I could do that if it happened again but we'll see yeah it's a tremendous

amount of work and I remember like obviously like I was working I had a family and everything

I thought as well it was difficult to manage everything going on with snap especially on

that launch now there's still a ton of cards coming out on a weekly basis and or monthly

basis I should say they have toned back a little bit we have less cards this month and

we have in the past which is kind of nice but we still have a lot there's a lot of exciting

stuff to talk about too and today actually let's talk about the what we're going to

be discussing we're talking about the OTA we're talking about last season standouts which

cards to you released it out obviously the new cards but also if there were other cards from

the past you're like you know what this month was the month of blank and we can also talk about

the new keyword objective which is obviously going to be a major part of the season pass card

and the season as a whole especially with the series five releases from there my man we're going

to do our star ratings which I think is really exciting and people don't take them that seriously

it's not like they get super mad if you're a little bit off on your star rating so no study on

that part but I mean we're going through this but you know the drill yeah I'm ready man I love

Marvel snap buddy that's the only reason why we're still here of course because we do love the game

and I have to say we appreciate each one of you guys for supporting the content and I will say we

before we get into anything we are recording way earlier than usual because my weekend schedule

is absolutely insane I'm gonna be out of a riff bound event and so as a result we're recording

this on Wednesday believe it or not we don't have the we have the OTA information but the OTA

hasn't been released yet so when we're gonna be talking about the OTA we don't even have the cards

in game yet because it is not even out yet we also haven't seen the the season video yet we

haven't had access to that so if there's any major surprises with the season video that they

release where they actually show the cards in action we don't have that context just as a heads up

as we talk about the series five cards there's so much to discuss today let's start with the OTA

recap smaller OTA but they did try to go after some major issues in the meta obviously two major

players there are star lord and thinfang fume both of which have gotten nerfed star lord going

from a four five to a four three I'm a little hesitant to say that this is enough but also I

wouldn't be surprised of star lord with a new season coming out in a lot of new exciting cards

drops in meta share I'd be curious to hear what your thoughts are on this nerf I've actually

been seeing a lot less star lord in general I think he's really frustrating play against some

happy is getting nerfed but I yeah I don't think it's really gonna matter that much it's usually

the extra energy that matters and he still gets that so we'll see what happens but I'm kind of

disappointed in this nerf it doesn't really seem that relevant don't get me wrong four three

seems horrible as a stat line up front but when in reality he's just gaining the power back especially

with that extra energy he's being provided that of course he's utilizing to make these disgusting

combos happen I think one of the major challenges of star lord is just a lack of interactivity

like we joke about it I mean you were one of the first ones to play that I'm gonna skip every turn

except five and six play star lord mode akela it's all your fault honestly I don't want to blame you

but you're kind of one of the first ones to do that and you just started you started the season off

right like let's make this as toxic as possible so yeah I thought it was fun it was fun for a day

you know and then everyone started doing it and I was like this is kind of stupid just the

un interactive gameplay is terrible yeah the fact you could just skip skip skip skip star lord mode

akela it's dumb dude it's dumb I don't like it yeah it's not great but my my theory here on this

change is that this this nerf is more to take it out of the meta zeitgeist and it's less about

actually fixing star lord and I bet you when the new season comes out and people get new toys to

play with and I think there's a card that's gonna be available really early in the season as in

really early day one that's gonna be stupid I think there's a really stupid card coming out next

season that's gonna be the new star lord everyone's gonna be pissed off with and as a result I think

the star lord's play rate just drops dramatically because I don't think it's his power level

necessarily as problematic it's a lack of interactivity where you feel like you can't really do anything

star lord doesn't have a good release valve you had super giant being played cause will be in

play gene gray being played as well to try to kind of deal with it and those all just feel bad

because they're not even like perfect answers to star lord all you got super giant but they're playing

star lord and turn four and then just like doing stupid stuff with it anyway so it's like it's

kind of unfortunate but yeah this I'm sure will have an impact on his play rate we'll have to see

what happens long term a life I mean there's few cards in Marvel snap that have been nerfed and

changed as many times as a life it was at a six nine which was nice now it's at a six seven going

down from a six eight yeah six oh six that's right it is a funny number I thought see for me I

think six nine was funnier but of course you being more in touch with the the younger crew

you you're able to identify that six seven in fact is a funny number what are your thoughts on

a life here uh why are they doing this to a lot I mean a life was kind of good if you were doing

super giant to counter the star lord and then you'd like play a life after the super giant so maybe

that's why they're doing it but it's not a huge nerf I think the card is still good but I feel like

I wasn't seeing yeah that much a life although I guess you could do like galactus stuff and then you

can follow up with the alive that's kind of more so where I was using a life I guess so I don't

think he needed to be nerfed personally he was seeing an 11% meta share based on tap based statistics

ranked 80 to infinite plus right do you think 11% too much for a card like this no I mean I guess

it's not fun to play against but you could also kind of expect it it does it feels yeah it feels

really bad when you get a lie thon but it also feels bad when your opponent plays star lord a lot of

things just feel bad to play against yeah no kidding I've that's been the theme of the meta right like

it just feels bad yeah your play like I'm playing silver surfer I'm playing evo and they're

doing this most in an uninteractive stuff imaginable it feels like Marvel snap right now is in like

this pillar of power mode where like you have star lord you have feng feng fum and like these cards

that are very difficult to interact with that's just like win games single handedly while you're

jumping through all these hoops like why would anyone ever want to play craggling when you could

just like it's so stupid right like it's just like the cards like the level just it doesn't compute

there are cards that are just so far higher in their meta influence that everything else coming out

which just seems like it's not even worth it you know like even jack flag which is a great card

just it just doesn't shine because unless it can compete with these meta outliers it just won't see

play I think he's kind of mid that's crazy that's crazy yeah but I think he's he's like he only

seems mid because he just pales yeah he pales in comparison to everything else so exactly and we

talked about it but feng feng fum going from a 712 to a 710 I don't think this is that significant

I mean two powers two power but feng feng fum I think is legit knots and I think one of the major

things about it too is that like it punishes like ramp if they're playing out like a early red

Hulk into a lane and it's gathering power well feng feng fum's going to just flip that now it's

just going to use that red Hulk against that player and just trade the lane so I start to wonder

about if that two power being taken off might help but I don't really think it does it feels like

functionally the same card no yeah I think it's going to be about the same two power could add up

sometimes I guess it'll matter but I think he's still really good card and often you're just

cheating them out right like electro blink stuff or you're doing star lord stuff but I guess

if in the star lord deck if you're doing some fin things I guess you are losing four power overall

with all the new OTA buffs or nerfs yeah card's still good yeah in fact I'm going to make a bold

prediction I think when it's all said and done compared between feng feng fum and star lord

it's going to be feng feng fum that sees continued play and star lord doesn't

I think that at the current stat line feng feng fum barely comes down and I think star lord

kind of disappears into irrelevance I don't think he's going to disappear into irrelevance I think

he's always going to be pretty good and when people are even expecting him less I feel like that makes

him even better like the moda kella stuff no one does that anymore you know no you're right but I

think that like feng feng fum's play rate is always going to be higher than stars yeah always just

like the big boss guys the boss card you can I don't know yeah like there's always a boss card like

we had blob for a while right yeah then we had red hall key got nerfed who's the last one

in some ways for steps galactus galactus for steps oh yeah yeah I still really I really like that

card a lot still I think that's been like the season pass card that like like Icarus didn't

no Icarus flew too close to the sun right this is the galactus for steps didn't have his wings and

golf and flames like he kind of went just high enough to like and be super good meta relevant meta

impactful worth the purchase worth the tokens but probably not a nerf candidate which is really good

in my opinion like I think galactus first steps is probably one of the best season pass cards they've

released in a while I agree no one was crying that he's busted or that he's under power he's just like

he's all right yeah he's legit right we're going through these a little quick it's just because we

have so much to talk about rocket and group making a comeback came out in December when rivals

was released remember when there's like that big rivals kick yeah and they got nerfed from a three

three three to a three two now it's back to a three three it's original line and I was trying

to remember and I was kind of foggy with my memory do you remember what decks at the time

were like so popular that rocket and group had to get nerfed wasn't it like a silky smooth type

I think you know like the silky schmoove or whatever he's also playing a lot of fliction surfer

stuff I don't know what was he in I've never felt like he needed a nerf but I guess he was kind

of a very flexible card that had a super high play rate just because he was versatile and always

just solid like if you just need a three drop just play rocket and group you know yeah I guess

that like second dinner tried to reduce the number of like just best in slot cards and rocket

group was one of those like yeah it's just the best in slot three job and it's kind of crazy

to think now that like this three three that with one proc that's effectively a three five

felt broken at that time considering the absolute nonsense we're getting now and we'll talk

about those like we have a stand-up card I can't wait to talk about for this prior season that

like it starts at three four and is easily three ten on almost every game I play it and meanwhile

rocket group has to earn it in a year ago a year and well he'll almost a year and a half ago now

that was just impossible it's just it's just power creep yeah a lot of cards that have been nerfed

in the past I feel like can be unnerved why don't they do that I think they try I mean if you

think about it just before Star Lord's release and this was a bit of a misdirection right

they have Star Lord coming out and on paper I think that as a whole most people were a little lower

on Star Lord than originally what ultimately ended up happening right people were generally

lower on Star Lord the obvious synergy was was Evo in the Christmas update that they did just

prior to like they didn't know TA update usually larger in the Christmas break so that second

dinner staff goes off for a few weeks which is awesome glad they get that time and they release a

big OTA they buffed like all the Evo cards they buffed Shocker Misty Knight they buffed Cyclops they

buffed buffed all those likely an anticipation of Star Lord coming out being a good Evo card

and that was kind of like where I played it were a lot of people played it and then these broken

kind of synergies were figured out and this is one of the the risks right like you create a

card like Star Lord and then you think oh yeah we tested it but like once you get into the hands

of the masses someone's gonna break it and someone did break it and it completely warped the meta

and so like yeah I don't know I'm I'm kind of excited for this season to be over to get some

new toys and the less Star Lord I see the better because unless there's a proper tech card to deal

with this type of interaction that I just don't want to deal with it this is actually been probably

my least favorite meta in like I want to say like a year I'm probably a misremembering but

recency bias I hate this current meta so hopefully the OTA fixes it again we haven't actually

tried it out at the time of recording but we'll see what do you think about Jeff going to

a four it's kind of funny because like when you saw night crawls I want three you're like all right

like Jeff obviously has to get some sort of benefit and a prior week on the Snapchat we joked

about this with Harry Perry and he suggested that Jeff go to a two five which I thought was crazy

I believe I used the words Jeff at two five is psychotic but one of the major problems with Jeff

is that like it's not just the stats and the movement it's that like the things you used to

synergize with him have been totally changed like you used to play him with pro professor X that's

no longer working the same way it used to you used to play him with sandman ramp that doesn't

work the way it used to it's not even the same design at all so Jeff just doesn't have a place

because the decks he was played and got neutered yeah I think he's just not as good anymore there's

also like one Jeff was really popular I feel like there were a lot less move cards so you'd like

catch people off guard but yeah I think he's still not going to see too much play as a two four

unless you're playing cerebro four you're the only one playing cerebro four just so you know he might

be pretty good in cerebro four I was playing cerebro three just because I wanted some like umbaku

shenanigans and you get to like obviously lock child the umbaku and stuff like that and I got

to tell you it sucked it was not good it was not fun yeah like yeah you play something like a

scarlet scarlet wish to try to deal with locations and she just scams you like there's it's so

heartbreaking man uh just like my experience playing megas on the first day I remember when it came

out three five I'm like hey I'm gonna check out this new super premium season pass card and I

can't tell you how fast I hated this card I was like this card sucks like I don't want to play this

the design's not interesting it just was so uninteresting for me and I did not want to play it now

it's a two three from a three five to a two three but it still will not proc on reveals I don't

know man I still don't think this card sees play I mean I'm gonna mess around with it in C3

because it can kind of tutor like that cerebro but you do run other threes like if it hits a

mistake it's gonna be bad yeah I think until they change it where like copies on reveals I think

this is just gonna be terrible but I could also see if a copied on reveals it'd be way too good

so I kind of I get it it's just like I think like a failed card concept maybe yeah no I I agree

absolutely and I they said that in the patch now or they're like doing on reveals would probably

take this to the next level in a way that you really don't actually want what I do want though

is I want surfer to me be more relevant and jack fly got us closer to that I thought jack fly

was kind of cool I really liked the card and Sebastian Shaw going from three four to three five not

a significant change especially consider this is a card that goes think it's absolutely massive

with its power at times but I like it I'm glad that we got a little bit extra for a staple card

and surfer and this realistically is only played in surfer right now at all and surfer itself's not

seeing play what do you think about this change I like it I mean I do like surfer as an archetype

and yeah it's kind of like not really played anymore but I've always thought it was fun because

there's so many good three drops and you don't really know what your opponent's gonna play you

can constantly just be swapping out different three drops like do I want to run Shaw do I want to

want to run jack flag don't want to count copycat rocket and Groot there's like so many different

things you can put in surfer and it's kind of it's bad back when surfer was good like Galacto

was a meta relevant card like maybe they could unnerve Galacto speaking of cards down nerf like

plus three powers not that big of a deal anymore so I wish they would kind of do make Galacto

four four six plus three in the sides or on the nerve Galacto and Gwenpool both of them got

nerfed yeah yeah unnerve both of those no one plays those anymore they gave the power back to

Sarah Sarah got nerfed at some point and then now that came back and it's like it's hit or miss

whether or not surfer decks even want Sarah right now yeah I normally don't run Sarah in my surfer

decks but I think Galacto was kind of what made surfer really good because you just go galacto

into bird surfer or whatever chameleon chameleons of fun card and surfer I kind of want to play

surfer now I mean you're coping pretty hard with chameleon I think like I understand like where

you're going with it but at the same time it's like bro I don't know I don't know because like

I remember the days of surfer were like a good surfer deck had hope summers so you'd play the

Sarah on hope summers so that you could play a two a three drop surfer in an abs man or you could do

like brood abs man surfer with the seven energy right those were the good days man I want to go

back to that that's those are the days I'm looking forward to and we just don't have that anymore

now they're gone they're seriously gone yeah they're gone but you know what man you know what's

not gone there are terrible transitions to new topics because we need to talk about last season's

standouts and there's okay honestly I don't think I'd like the last season at all I think I might

have hated it in fact because like star lord I didn't like once it was established this card was

cringe I don't want to play anymore like I'm like I'm not I'm not playing this crap like

give me a break like I just I just wasn't interested but I will tell you

I thought tracks was kind of cool but at the same time while it's cool I felt that I couldn't

sneak it into like a surfer deck I couldn't sneak it into a couple things once jack fly came out

and I felt like I was cutting it from list despite the fact that this thing's getting like three

10 sometimes and also moving to win locations and for some reason it wasn't sticking in the decks

there's no way this is a bad card it's not it's a good card but did you find that you were having

a hard time getting it to stick in decks because like that's what I was finding yeah I think this

cards exceed my expectation he's just solid he's just a solid three drop sometimes a little

awkward for your opponent to play around I've actually been really enjoying him in 2099 decks which

I think binks maybe popularize the list that I was really enjoying and I've actually kind of

evolved the list I ended up swapping tracks for jack flag which is bad I think jack flags bad

but running tracks and then running sandman is actually like so fun so you go like tracks you play

a four drop you play sandman and then you just play doom like sandman stops the shoe louse stuff

um I really like that deck and I've won a lot of cubes I'm pretty decent rank right now I think

I'm almost top 50 so let's go that's amazing buddy but I'm gonna tell you right now if you're telling me

that your opinion of jack flag is you playing him in a 2099 deck that's the problem he sucks in that deck

I've tried him in a lot of decks I was just coping with jack flag because people want to see a new

new card and yeah but he's mid dude you really like jack flag I think jacks is better than jack flag

my problem with jack flag is I do feel like he over commits to one lane for example he's really

good with Carter but your card is already good your card is already carrying the lane but then you

put jacks and you're like double carrying that lane the top performing deck I saw with jack flag

was actually a tribunal deck because you do over commit one lane and you're okay with it but jack

flag also felt like the worst card there so the only way I could see this being good is if you're

really benefiting off of that increased power through something like a maverick but I still feel like

he's generally the worst card in the deck maybe I just haven't been cooking right or maybe in the

future this is going to change I do think it will with is it osamandius whatever the new patriot

because I was I was actually climbing with zoo with this card this was solid because in zoo this is

I mean it's a three nine ish yeah it's definitely good but dazzlers a two eight and I was cutting

dazzler for jack flag because it's such a tight list so it's like would you rather have a two eight

or a three nine and it's obviously a two eight so I'm going to push back a little bit here all right jack

flag I think is also really good because it's excellent for players of multiple collection levels

there's a chance there are players out there who have limited collection levels are relatively new to

marvel snap and they're trying to play ongoing decks with spectrum all right jack flag goes in those

decks very very easily not only does he benefit from moonstone which of course is a series five card and

whatever it's an expensive card it's ironic that ongoing which has like roots in being relatively

inexpensive now plays a whole bunch of expensive cards like goliath moonstone star dust jack flag

right it kind of creeps up in cost but if you're someone who's running goose and other small cards

even if you're doing something like well I'm sure a whole bunch of stuff so I'm running

uh how are the duck and the iron lad you which you can absolutely do in something like ongoing

this card gives incredible reach for spectrum because not only is it going to buff itself

but everything gets buffed with that spectrum hit so one of the reasons why I liked it is because

I think that like those ongoing decks have a surprising amount of utility especially as you like

you ranked towards infinite and middleing mmars I think you could legitimately use this in those

types of decks and I felt like it was a very natural inclusion and I bet you a lot of budget

oriented players actually would love to have this in their ongoing deck yeah no I agree I think

he's just if you have a large collection he's easily one-opt by other cards but if you have a

small club he's a solid three you can go on a lot of things just like Drax cab but if you're playing

an ongoing specifically then maybe uh you want jack flag over Drax I actually now that you mentioned

I didn't mess around with this I forgot I wanted to mess around with this an astral projection

spectrum deck that I really enjoy that also runs Bastion might be solid with jack flag

it's actually kind of interesting outside of that though man like honestly I think the season was

a mess like I played I know this is from the season even prior I actually came to kind of enjoy

moon dragon more than I expected even though I think chambers just always simply better

moon dragon was kind of interesting what you don't like that you don't think I'm gonna push back

on you in the 2099 deck I actually prefer moon dragon over chamber you run both of them

yeah that makes sense and you run Drax sometimes chambers good but moon dragons always good and I

do like it a lot especially if you're running invisible woman for steps so you could double the

moon dragon effect I think this is just a 2099 card and it's not sure any other deck yeah it's not

good on ramp yeah with ramp it's not great that's where chamber will definitely shine over it

for sure was there any last call it you want to make before we move on to the new season

Shang chi sucks man no he doesn't he's not that bad no I don't think he's that bad okay what would

you give him out of five stars right now to I would give him a three so maybe we're not that far

off I don't think he sucks I don't think he's good there's a difference I think this is another

card where it's like if you're a new player and you have a small collection he's probably solid

but there's so many things that outclass him but playing a quick silver into a rings it's not

terrible but you are destroying your card draw I just literally don't draw for two turns yeah

yeah it's bad I mean you can play a lot of one drops and the ring like do a clear thing with him

I don't he just seems so bad like canceling your draws terrible and if you don't hit the

wicked and you're doing like the wicked thing it's bad yeah but if you don't hit wicked you hit

superior spider-man because you've guaranteed the green power on quick silver and the ring

I don't know I think it's bad you're just awfully I think it's just awful you got to actually

play the cheat in order for the ring to kind of be worth it you know otherwise it's just a two three

what if you never draw the cheat or you draw it too late like you need cheat on three or on four

or it's useless dude of course you're never gonna draw a cheat like that's the point that's

the problem it's so funny when I was testing there was a new card and I was testing it with

Sean Chi and I was like I'm never seen this card it was craglin I came up I tried to do a craglin

Sean Chi deck and I was like you know okay why haven't I seen craglin for nine games

and it's like as soon as I took Sean Chi out it's like oh there's craglin an opening hand

every time like it just mantles the draw because it begs for the quick silver like you said right

it's actually soul crushing playing that card for that reason but then again if it's just a free

card in your hand and you still draw it's probably stupid broken yeah but I don't know maybe they

could tweak it but also make it start in the opening hand like maybe he costs four but

these the rings don't actually consume a draw something like that because earlier you play

them the better so making them cost four maybe even five I don't know but let's do a Dexter

star speed run here ready let's do this okay star ratings start us go I guess I'd say five

Sean Chi go to I was a test I wonder if you're gonna change your answer by accident okay

shallow go five I still think shallow is incredible I hate this card I freaking hate this card

it still has not gotten an additional nerf like I got one little love tab and I still think

it's cracked and people have kind of like just lead off of it it's so you need it needed more than

a love tap yeah two love taps all right star lord go five stars also this is proof that we're

pre-OTA here oh yeah uh one moon dragon three stars

tracks also I would probably give them can we need to have I do three three and a half four he's

he's kind of flexible I don't think I would say four of those I'd say three I guess

he's the worst four I've ever played and the best three I've ever played I feel like this is

such a good card and I'm having a hard time putting them in decks like it's kind of crazy like

this is the this is such a great example of power creep like this card should and has to be good

but like for some reason I'm not putting them in stuff and I'm cutting him from even surfer decks

because like there's just not enough room I don't know playing jack flag instead that's true actually

maybe I cut jack flag and just add tracks in a major victory this guy's like zero two two to

that high I was having fun with him in in a dino deck it is a bit that's so much cope man that's

I had like a 50% winery with him in a dino deck like a collector dino deck that had quinget

you know to just discount everything it was 50% he's like a bad colson I wish he discounted

the guardians by like one is that too crazy no that's exactly what I think he should have been all

the whole time he should just be discounting the cards 100% there's no they can make it like

on your next turn they're discounted by one that's kind of like a half buff or what if you get the

proc like let's say you land mantis he does like a fire hair like he reprocks it too so like if you

land mantis like he'll get a card if you hit the rocket he'll get the plus four two wouldn't that be

kind of cool is that too broken no that'd be cool or like anytime you play a guardian he gains a power

something but just not he's on going on reveal on reveal add to guardians anytime you play a guardian

plus one like a bishop but just for guardians also I love we should we should design a

break about a 50% winery deck you're like yeah it's not bad 50% winery he's if he was a three I

don't know he's like he's a weird colson I don't know he's a bad colson he might be a one

craglin oh I I think he's like I'm hesitant to say one because I reserve one for like

unplayable cards he's not really playable in the current men's but I feel like he's like a two

he's he's not the worst card I've ever seen and I do think I feel like at some point they're

going to print banish synergy where I don't know if it's like some sort of boobies like this card

gets plus three for every banish card or this card turns into one of your banish cards or

something like that like craglin will be better but right now he's just he's so awkward he's

so awkward and I think he's big butt cheeks I'd give him a two though yeah I had fun playing him

but he wasn't good he's a hundred percent of two card this is a card you get in draft and hope

for the best yeah yeah and some sort of draft mode or something that'd be fine but like this is

another card where it's like I'm playing this I'm playing lunus snow I'm playing wave all

in same deck because I'm trying to ramp and I would rather play every other three drop instead of

craglin but at the same time he's like the 12th card in the deck which is probably easily replaced

absolutely so yeah for me an unenthusiastic two stars jack flag I guess I'd give him a three

two I don't know I want to give him a two but he's better than a two he's a he's a three he's a

three star at most that's crazy but a low three a low three I would accept like high three

like brushing up against four caress gently caressing four is jack so you think you think he's

just as good as Drax I think there's there's situations where he's better than Drax I mean I

think Drax and him are both good cards that are just outclass by the meta like you have to be doing

some stupid stuff like man spider doubling your power doing adamantium again doubling your power

like plus two is nothing compared to double it's true like the hoops you got to jump through for

some particular decks in the meta right now like talking about adamantium infusion stuff like

yeah for sure but like at the end of the day I don't think you have to commit that much energy

for either jack flag or Drax to be good and as long as there are three seven I think they're okay

but if they get larger than a three seven then they're great value okay that's fair but the

amount you have to commit for jack flag is just a little awkward I think all right and I think

now's the time we talk about the new season all right Dexter we're going to talk about the new

season upcoming and of course we have a bunch of cards and it starts with the season pass card

and sabanur now before we get into that though we need to define what the new keyword is we have a

brand new keyword which is objective which to me is really exciting because a new way to interact

with cards and marvel snap is exciting this is a new way to play the game I think that's pretty

cool and I'm hoping that aurora gets objective added to her list by the way because that would be

cool and a neat butt buff that neat butt neat butt for aurora which she probably doesn't need honestly

but I'm going to read out the current definition of objective so objective introduces a brand new way

to play marvel snap this new keyword gives you a quest to chase down in the middle of a match

rewarding you with powerful effects once you complete it the best part the card tracks what you've

done all game if you make progress toward the objective at any time it will know and then sabanur

is a great first example of that so Dexter this is the season pass card it's going to be out

the first day of the season alongside two other cards I'll give you the the opening throw here

what do you think about and sabanur well what does he turn into what's apocalypse celestial's chosen

you're right I didn't even read the card thank you so much I'm doing a terrible job hosting

and sabanur is a four five that reads objective have a full front row at each location

transform into apocalypse celestial's chosen and when you change into apocalypse celestial's chosen

you become a four eight that reads on reveal swap the lowest power card in your front row at any

location with a card in your deck yeah so he's kind of a four eight and I don't know I've not

played the card yet obviously it's not out but a four the objective triggers like end of turn

it doesn't trigger in your hand the card has to be on the board and then a end of turn I think

all the end of turn checks happen and then I think objective goes off and then he will transform

into a pop gaining three power so he's a four five that turns into a four eight and then

apocalypse is going to swap that card I feel like you would play this in zoo right maybe you're

running squirrel girl you're filling those front lanes very organically that's kind of your

deck's game plan anyway a shana squirrel girl these small little thingies and then you swap it

out for maybe like a Gilgamesh or something like that so it's going to choose a random card from

each lane so if you have three one cost in each lane I think it's I think it's a random one

or sorry three one powers but something like a marvel boy if you end up buffing that squirrel girl

or all the squirrels and marvel boy ends up being the lowest power he's going to get swapped out

I think the awkward part is going to be deck building a deck where you're balancing those low cost

cards with high cost cards because what if you swap out your marvel boy for I don't know something

really small like an ant man and the lanes not completely full like that would kind of sock so

sometimes it's going to hit things you don't want but sometimes it'll swap your small card

into a blue marvel and that'll be great so I think this will be good in zoo I think he's not

going to have synergy with osamandius going up because of the rocks you actually the rocks are

big power so maybe don't want to swap those no I think he's just like a zoo card maybe maybe

Patriot or no not Patriot Ultron I guess you're running Patriot and Ultron maybe he is good with

Ultron because Ultron would fill the lanes and he'd do an end of turn check yeah so wait wait

wait what if you do apoc and then you Ultron and then he swaps it out for I don't know Patriot

or blue marvel or ksr or whatever that might actually be solid I think that this card and this is

where I get nervous right we know that they try to aim high with season pass cards I don't see it

here I think this my initial reaction is that this card is cheeks like I think this card's probably

not good and I would be surprised if it hits a three star level that's my original to look at

this now obviously we haven't played it yet we haven't seen the video yet right we haven't seen

the new season video yet because we're recording so early but like I have serious concerns about

the viability here like especially when you consider what the last few seasons were from season

pass cards this isn't come close to shallower or star lord I just don't see it now I mean just like

it's it can't compete in this current meta I don't think just like jack flag it's just it's a

little awkward um sorry I just wanted to talk trash on jack flag again I think uh yeah I mean

I was doing okay with zoo the zoo had jack flag in it so maybe this goes in like that deck but

if you're playing a zoo deck do you really prefer this over something like a ksr maybe not ksr

as a ton of power this is like a for eight it's it's kind of that gamble and obviously you want

big things in your deck for this to pull them out but you also don't want big things because you

want to be able to fill the lanes so maybe maybe it's big things and you're also just running like

uh debris and ultra so maybe it is a rock card maybe it's just an osamandius card

I thought about a couple ways that maybe you can be creative with him obviously utilizing the hood

I think is beneficial because that's a very clearly low power card I started to wonder if like

sentry void could be used because like if you're playing a merlin deck you don't drop merlin you

don't have polymorph void sitting there you get rid of that void very consistently for something

else in the deck which could be beneficial right the only thing is though is that's kind of cute

that's a lot of hoops to jump through for what ultimately probably is not the greatest payoff

and then I like continue to think I'm like could you play in thanos where you're swapping weaker

stones is that worth it but the stones have kind of gotten buffed enough that they're actually not

that small and insignificant really so like I came to the ultra on idea as well and I think

that's actually more viable than maybe we're giving a credit for but at the end of the day I wonder

if this card is going to come out it's going to underperform I think it's going to be overshadowed

by the next card we talk about and I think that it might get a minor text change I wonder if this

needs some sort of blink style qualifier where it's going to pull the highest power not the highest

cost or the highest power or a higher power than the card it swaps or I wonder if it needs some

sort of guarantee like a higher cost in the card it swaps or something because you're right you're

pulling ant man and it's just like wow what did I do this is useless well even like the hood when

you were bringing that out I was like yeah hood would actually be kind of good in patriot as well

that kind of fits because the demon gets the buff but you might accidentally swap your patriot

for a hood like if you didn't actually draw your hood you might pull the hood out on the last

turn making you lose the game so I think that inconsistency is just bad so if it was something of

higher power that that would be great yeah like the blink sort of thing where it only pulls a card

if it is higher cost and if you don't have a higher cost it doesn't swap it so I think yeah that

would be a really good change this because it I don't think this can compete in the

parameter yeah you might be able to have an okay win rate with zoo or patriot but if people are

still playing shoes star lord stuff or they're getting massive power in each lane you can't really

compete with that with with this randomness you know something I had thought about two is like

theoretically this card becomes I don't know if I want to say better but it becomes more reliable

the later in the game you get right because you get to look at your tracker and be like okay what's

what's in the deck what am I swapping but at the same time you can't control what you draw it's the same

problem the mag is had what's like you're oh I'm gonna skip five energy hit the Iron Man and it's

like well I drew the Iron Man so I guess I'm screwed like I got nothing and this card I think has

that same problem where it's like yeah of course thing thing food might be the last card in your deck

and you swap it out but that's not easy to get to that point yeah I think the blink protection

would kind of save this card I'd be curious what is your rating I'm like I'm a very hesitant three

I almost want to give it a two but I feel like that's probably too low but like I don't I just don't

see this card being a meta shaker at all no I feel like it's probably like a like a three if two

and a half was possible I'd probably do that so like a low a low three yeah I'm probably a two

and a half like I'm a very unenthusiastic three which is a shame because it makes me wonder dude like

why is this a season pass card is there something I'm not seeing because listen sometimes like

you just miss things right I looked at this card a million times I'm like I don't think I'm missing

anything here and I don't even know if this should have been the season pass card I just don't

understand I think osamandia could have been the season pass card but I guess this card is this

card is cool I guess like it's thematically I mean he's transforming in a epoch so it's

very fun uh but I don't know dude I don't think you're missing anything I think they're missing

something like they they sometimes print super unbalanced cards and then they also print cards

that are absolute butt cheeks uh who let who let cragglin through who let chi through like

chi is so iconic and he's just such a bad unplayable card and then like dragon in the boon

especially before the buff that was a super premium it was bad but I'd rather the super premium

be bad and the premium pass be good than the other way around because then everyone's going to say

it's paid a win right so hopefully the super premium pass card is not as good as this card

or else everyone's gonna say dexter it's paid a win don't buy the premium I have really bad news

I have really really bad news dude this card isca the unbeaten is my five star of the month and I

hate it I hate the fact that the super premium pass in my opinion is probably going to be the

cheek clapper of the month and this is going to be a meta dominator in my opinion it is absolutely

stupid isca the unbeaten a four three that reads end of turn if you're losing this location

double this card's power dude this is dumb like I think this is absolutely crazy this is like

this is the card to beat this month and if we ever had a question of are they going to put

a absolutely broken card behind a super premium season pass we're all we're all a little

surprise with fantastic card who ironically interacts with this card but I'm going to tell you

right now dude this card I think is insane and I hope I'm wrong I want to be wrong so much

but I don't think I am yeah I think it's gonna be tough to beat this and if they tweak it I mean

if they drop it a power maybe that helps a lot but maybe it's gonna be harder than we think to

actually lose the lane it's in like your opponent just stops playing in there but if you just

skip a couple turns and then on turn three do like I don't know agony and then you play this

and then it doubles and then you arm it and then it doubles again that's almost like 24

in each lane from playing three cards so that's kind of good there are a couple things that are

notable here first of all shadow king is gonna crush this card shadow king if you shadow king

on turn six and reset this card it basically goes to six power it becomes a four six right which

is awful old white queen is four six but I was thinking about like okay what's the actual lines

look like let's say you played into a lane and you know it's losing turn four it goes from three

to six turn five it goes six to 12 turn six it is 12 to 24 it's a four to 24 so like I don't

know like what do they play early that like you're constantly behind that way but like I just think

that this card is is in a position to legitimately even without buffs like you could talk about

buffing it already I don't even know if you need to commit buffs to it like it can just automatically

just tick itself upward and that's not even accounting for like invisible woman first steps

possible synergy that you can do that which is on curve too yeah I haven't given it too much

thought but I just feel like it's a broken card because yeah if you do iwfs visible man first steps

on three and then on turn four you can play this or on turn five you could just play agony in

this you don't even need the agony you could play car on four so iwfs on three car on four this

on five and then you just aren't him and activate iwfs even if they shadow king if you've lost

priority it's still at least even without the cards it's it's 12 with the cards a bit more and

if they don't shadow king it's like they're done I love the fact you just described an extremely

uninteractive line right off the right so are you gonna ruin the meta day one again because that

is that your goal here like you're like hey we can just skip four turns i start lord motockella

and now you're you're already coming out the gate with absolute just pure feces it's gonna

ruin the game for the next month and a half no i think i think regis is gonna put a video out on it

before i even do so it'll be uh i think it's it people are gonna break the game it's not me breaking

it it's other people like the combo would be found out without me or not so yeah but you're the one

i get to yell at that's true i'm just a punching bag for Alexander kocha i am really concerned

about this card i think that end of turn cringe is gonna come back in a big way we've kind of

forgotten about that deck obviously havoc got impacted there's a bunch of nerfs to that deck i mean

even invisible woman first steps got nerfed fantastic car got nerfed that whole package got nerfed

son spot got nerfed right i'm even forgetting there's more there that got nerfed but like if you

think about the curves right is there a way to get thina out and then like kind of do everything

with like now you have the thina where you can do like a kiddie pride thina type thing and get

everything off curve slightly and still use isca you can drop her turn five with kiddie pride

proc the thina proc and you can just do everything one turn kind of uh back and then still get the

fantastic four first steps invisible woman to double proc everything and go totally vertical

on multiple lanes you could zola the way you describe which is still crazy i like that a lot

i actually i kind of hate it i'm not sure how i feel about it i think maybe zola is actually

problem like i'm thinking more about the combo the uninteractive combo i'm gonna make and it's

gonna be like if you play iwfs on three on turn four you can play one drop prodigy the iwfs and then

this card arnem i'm saying this card because it's it's isca is that a c was like a backwards

cool edg t it's a c right i i'm not the one to ask i wrote it in my notes is isca

okay i think it's is yeah isca so yeah it's gonna be uninteractive and stupid but i mean the

um the hella deck this our lord hella deck kind of got phased out so maybe this is also gonna

get phased out maybe the combos not as busted as we think there are a lot of cards that double

already like adamantium fastball galactic stuff already exists but i mean this oh man if you

even do like the star lord thing with this on top of it because then you could double star lord

then you could do this in arnem like in the same turn could you even play agony this and arnem

all in the same turn yeah you can so with just 11 energy i was trying to cope and think about like

how i can not be a total asshat and make a cool deck that might not be total cringe and i was

like what if we did like what if we brought back zabu hear me out we bring back zabu right you got

Gwen pool you got galacta all of which interact with this card can buff it to make the flip a little

stronger and i was thinking about like even on turn six it's a four three it becomes a four five

with galacta right is this plus shanshi both impacted by zabu is that enough just to cleanly

win the game because you just shanshi one lane flip a little bit of power play this down it tries

to double is it worth it you think or no probably not it's too many hoops again it's too many hoops

just to counter something not to do your own game plan that's the problem that's like the problem

i think with the current methods so it's so solitary it's like do i draw my non-interactive combo

and and win but then if anyone else is playing like more honest deck you're kind of just screwed

oh 100% that's not a good thing that's horrible that's horrible for this game people thought

havoc viper was gonna make people quit the game so yeah maybe this is actually not even that good

in practice and it's just theory where it seems busted one last thing i'll mention here i had this

thought what about if you do like sentry void with iska and then you polymorph the void

because the void will force iska to lose that location multiple times that's cruel that seems

again we're jumping through hoops that seems unnecessary just to double it a couple times the

offset and then you're polymorphing the void and you're winmoring in that lane you can't even do

like a hood in this if you're doing the arnhem line but i mean playing hood in this you're almost

guaranteed to win that lane assuming they have at least one power it'll double at least once right

yeah but i don't know it'll be interesting to see i my my gut tells me this card's gonna be a problem

i think so i think anything that doubles is a problem it's just a game design issue anything

that doubles is crazy or gives extra energy i think all that stuff is i guess not

come up with small energies the big energies but yeah doubling scares me so you heard to hear

first guys dexter claims surey most broken card in marvel snap currently well sure pre nerf sure

yeah at the time was absolutely busted and surey still decent not in the current meta but because

there's other cards that double better but doubling in general is scary that's why they had to change

surey when she was originally because you could play her and then play a double card in any lane

any lane it's funny because i'm roasting you but at the same time surey was like our first like

this meta is absolutely awful get me out of here and surey lasted for like two months

surey still meta relevant right i mean she's not super popular but people still do her with the

adamantium thing that i take that sentence taken out of context my god have you not been seeing a lot

of rod lately i've been seeing a lot jesus what do you can you hear yourself talking there's a lot of

people do a rod fastball adamantium sort of stuff right you're not seeing that i don't know

what a response to this i don't think we're on the same wavelength right now i'm concerned we're

getting demonetized i'll let the the comment section determine if i'm overreacting to you you

use a phrasing there because you were a little all over the place final rating is good i think

this is my card of the month even though i hate it i don't want a serious super premium season

it's uh difficult maybe it's not that difficult of a condition to meet

it to me i just compared to like dazzler like you're playing a lot of things maybe

like dazzler's not even a great card i don't even think i'd give dazzler like four stars

but this is like it's a two eight it's a two eight i mean that's strong two eight's good

two eight is not irrelevant but like that's pretty what what chamber does

two fourteen or whatever chamber's huge and you remember when uh okay this is my five bring this

up about once a year maybe more than that do you remember when Glenn first started

minor change which i don't even quite remember what the passion that was but then you never saw

it again that's back when Jessica Jones was meta relevant and what not i didn't hear what you're

solid winrate on warpath but so i know you're meaming but remember early early marvel snap like

more path they should release a vanilla snap you know like just go back through uh

the first snap snap classic that should be a limit time game mode i literally that's actually such a

great idea i do not have a single infinity split on this card these are the only variants i have

dude i played so much of this card i used to love him

damn that seems impossible and limited time game mode snap classic boom yeah wow

classic yeah 100% it's actually a great idea honestly it's like it's like a new type of

imbalance patch and it actually looks easy for them to do it right what if oh my gosh it's

actually a cook what if it was a limited time game mode where they got all the most like

when they got a selection of like ten of the most broken decks and snap history and every time

you logged in the mode you got a random one like OG sherry red skull and then the next time you

got OG Loki and like the cards actually worked like they did before when that be so cool like a time

capsule of like all the most broken bets oh i'm getting too excited for no reason but it's like uh

they should do that dude i think that would bring back a lot of the player base even like the

shitty like spider man absorbing man stuff from back in the day like dude i would love to play that

for like an hour because that's a whole hour but the actual 20 minutes and then someone would do

it to you and you're like oh yeah this is why they got rid of this yeah no okay yeah that's not true

but like the actual decent metas from back in the day those would be fun but we're talking about

the decks that ruined the metas yeah well i don't want to play those i know you're excited about

somehow juggernaut turned into i think it was the cards really bad terrible to drop somehow lizard

is still worse lizard you made lizard popular you wanted to play warpath then you didn't know what

warpath said i don't know that's where we went yeah make lizard eight power minus six just i don't

know we're just deleting from the game because that's pretty much what you've done we're just

uninstall the game yeah slay the spire slay spire too comes out in a week wait no it comes out the

i probably don't think that you build around this card at all i bet you very often like i was

kind of like going through some way uh like my recordings i had and i very frequently have

six different powers on the field of play without trying you know what i mean like i don't think it's

that hard of a condition yeah maybe it's an easy condition it's a consistent two way if it is

just like literally just whatever you're playing i've not looked at my board states but if it's that

easy and it's not ongoing so you just have to fill it once if they end up like deleting one of

your cards like you don't care it's objective so once it triggers at the end of the turn it'll

be two eight yeah not exciting though and this is uh so of the three cards coming out day one

March 3rd you have isca juggernaut and uh what tells his name Roshembo right what tells his name

i can't remember now it pops yeah and sabanur and sabanur Roshembo that's when you kick people in

the balls right oh i thought that was like rock paper scissors but maybe maybe in canadian it's

kicking people in the balls yeah it's like it's like so usually with Roshembo you want to go first

because you get first kick and then they often can't retaliate effectively i think we played

different games as children okay it's possible we'll have to kind of look into that but yeah how would

you rank these three on day one uh day one if juggernaut is consistently a two eight with very

minimal effort i think he'll be pretty good but i think this is definitely the best isca five stars

yeah isca then uh Roshembo Roshembo kick me in the nuts isca

that's not what i said that's what you said i'm asking you if second place goes to Roshembo

oh if apocalypse i forgot you were calling him that um i think he's gonna be fun he's not

boring like juggernaut but i think juggernaut might i'd have to like go back and look at my games

and see how easy it is to get six different costs because if it's literally brain off i think juggernaut

will be good as a consistent two eight so i if he is very easily a consistent two eight i'd give him

four stars but if he's not if he's hard to fulfill the condition i'd give him like two stars

yeah i wonder you slam him down on the last turn he's a two eight that's not amazing compared to

doubling powers and stuff but it's consistent i feel like it might not be that bad there's nothing

cheeky and cheesy you could do with it like isca it's just a good

statted card maybe i'm stupid right now like i have an eaten and it's uh five pm i had a bag of

cheesets so if i'm being stupid right now it's probably that but i think um roshembo is going to be

number two probably the probably the worst of these three well even in zoo right let's do this

through juggernaut case zoo you have squirrel girl right so one two and then you have dazzler two eight

blarvel so we have three blarvel it's a three case of five if marvel is a three then squirrel

girl is a three so squirrel is a one so no it's actually maybe easy

okay if you feel good match is going to be whatever mocking bird yeah dude that's easy actually

it's might be a solid card that you just throw in everywhere yeah maybe we're shooting low here

i don't know the more i talk about the more i think the conditions like super easy

because two eights good two that's good because there's times with like chamber you don't draw

through stuff properly like not often every point and i get there well chamber's like a five star

card yeah i agree maybe yeah so it's like this is not a chamber level but maybe a little bit more

versatile like chamber you got to build the deck around him right this maybe he just he's just a

two eight all the time put him in a goose boom three bro eight boom way that is all right

because they're all that it's also notable he doesn't count himself either your other cards

probably not but here's a very interesting card what why do you get so excited it's so bright

look i'll turn my face cam lights up so it looks like it barely changed it changed but

just barely i normally have a light on in the back but i don't today for whatever reason all right

i like your mood lighting for its worth my lights are probably too bright for what it's worth here

we got gambit the horseman of death it's a three three that reads objective play five total cost

of created cards and it upgrades to randomly destroy up to four total costs of enemy cards

is there a type of one there that didn't sound right i'm going to destroy up to four costs four

to you type this play five total cost of created cards that's easy you play if you created a random

shoe low you play the shoe low his objective is completed right

uh yeah randomly destroy up the four total cost of enemy cards that doesn't seem that good

for total cost yes but what this is it's a built-in release valve for the seasons rocks i think you

wipe out tons of rocks that's true it could be like four one drops yeah like what was the last time

remember when we had like i don't remember what it was when mobius was released and it felt like

mobius we were waiting for to like i don't remember what card it was that mobius turned off but we've

had a couple instances where you have cards get released and then their tech piece comes later

there's been a couple major instances that now i can't remember this one looks like it's coming

before the rocks become a major factor because we get the rock decks afterwards near the end of the

season you know what i actually like this card i like it i changed my mind i think it's really cool

for my major victory deck my double dinosaur major victory easily complete the condition you

have collector down collectors of solid two six you play the gambit you play double dino you

destroy four random cards that's fun i like destroying random cards i suspect the the stack

you're describing is horrible probably but it might be fun and sometimes it's about fun it's not

always about winning Alex so how many games can you lose in a row until you're not having fun

anymore you think this is that bad the card i'm saying your deck my deck i'm not saying gambit's

that bad i'm saying the deck you're describing with major victory you said 50% win rate and i feel

like you're inflating it you hate major victory no i don't hate major victory major victory is fine

and then boom it's a it fulfills a condition right for four they have to be created cards you have

i think it goes in a valentina deck that's also running i mean maybe you've been running

victoria hand and you play this i mean playing this into a freaking friga does he count himself

you play gambit you friga you play quenget you play gambit does he count as three and then you

play a you can v hand you could do some moon girl stuff i think this card's gonna be really fun

okay now you're cooking the friga stuff i'm here for now we're cooking because i think that

makes a lot of sense because that's gonna be three right there well friga's already run both the

both objective you run hood here's my little package you ready for my little package you run

hood valentina gambit friga misery that's just five cards and then you you just the rest will

fall into place i don't know i just have to put in a dexlector but like that's gonna be good that's

already a very strong package what about snow guard what about major major victory i mean you

could play snow guard you can shove limbo right now there's a lot of limbo's i think right so maybe

it's not that bad but i don't think you really care about snow guard that i think stuff like barrage

valentina i didn't talk about valentina my package valentina's good mirage is a really good card

i feel like i'm missing a lot i haven't played like a victoria hand deck in quite a while

bastion oh my god bastion this guy play him again friga bastion victoria hand oh my god

your cooking Alex this is good stuff you're saying i haven't said anything

but um you're right like there's a there's a good chance that this card actually does some cool stuff

and i think it's gonna be a good medical in fact i think that if the rock decks become popular

in some variation of victoria hand becomes popular as well with the kind of dexure describing

this could be an extra an excellent medical to actually wipe out those rocks

but the only thing is though and here's where it becomes challenging if wiping out rocks becomes meta

why don't you just play a good destroyed deck will that deck running the gambit always

oh perform a destroyed yeah you skill longer everything uh well because this is flexible into

multiple things in the meta theoretically like this this could hit a freaking maverick that your

opponents do you stop it's true it's true all right it's not gonna hit a red hole because red

holes too thick but it can hit something small that's right and i mean it's a symbiote spider man

yeah and that's the other thing though like we don't know how the priority works if there is multiple

one drops like all the rocks and you have a four drop will it prioritize the four drop will it

randomly select four rocks like what if there's a three and a two out will it destroy the three

will destroy the two is just fifty fifty both of them like how does it actually get the value like

it sounds to me like it'll always try to get four cost of value but how does it split it up

because you might be in a situation two where it's like you have a two drop and a three drop

if it destroys the three drop first it won't be able to satisfy the four cost but if it destroys

a two drop first it can destroy another two drop you know what i mean i think it's gonna be like when

egos playing our agatha's playing it's gonna be just random like it's gonna put if there's

10 different targets it's gonna put a mole in a hat and then it's gonna pick one and then it's

gonna kill that if that costs three and the other option is a four like you're not doing anything

but if there's another one on the board it'll it'll take the one and then it'll hit it right yeah so

i think it'll i think it'll it possibly leave things it might hit a three and leave a four up yeah

or hit a two and leave a four or hit a one and leave a four up that would suck

i think this card's viability depends on whether or not the future cards we're talking about here

especially the series four ones that are gonna interact with rocks become more meta relevant

and have to be countered but then again as i said killmonger is gonna be a factor there but

we'll cross that bridge when we get there because there's obviously ways to protect those cards too

but the next card caliban the horseman of pestilence is this text you want to read or you want

to do it you do it all right it's a three four objective have three cards that are four cost

or higher in play and that results in afflict the highest enemy sorry the highest cost enemy card

with negative seven power i like this card a lot i think this is a really cool car it's it's a

cool car yes it's a beautiful car it's a Ferrari it is a four star card i think this is a very

strong card it has very good stats once you obviously account for the negative seven power and i

don't think you have to try very hard you can play this on curve and i'm just gonna throw it out

there this is free with doctor doom because the doobots are six right so 299 card easy 100% yeah

yeah it's a three eleven that's a lot that's very premium that's larger than a drags

proven twice this is if you if you do this into a doom you you win moon dragon into caliban into

doom into sandman into doctor doom you win congratulations yeah i think this is going to be

beautiful in doom 20 99 decks because obviously doom 29 decks want to have doom in them and even

without that like you just have to have three cards of four costs like you don't even have to play

doctor doom i think it's going to work perfectly but even just the doom bots themselves that are

being generated by doom 20 99 and they're going to satisfy this requirement yeah i mean i don't

think you run doom unless you're buffing up the bots because like a six fifteen is just by power

each lane is generally not that good he's kind of outclass right but i guess he would he would

fulfill the condition it'd be pretty solid our creeps been one of those things we've brought up

a number of times i'm just gonna remind you guys the doom was nerfed doctor doom was nerfed

and they got reverted to give you an idea of how far we've come from doctor doom being the de facto

you play this card you get dubbed right and like yeah yeah it's almost a damn shame because even

cards like magneto they're cool cards man i miss magneto man yeah he's just weird he he pulls cards

to his own lane and since every single four drop is now like nine power he just loses and isn't

it kind of funny that like you got to wait for star lord ass hat of the sun or whatever and meanwhile

base star lord is an absolute trash heap that no one plays other than one limited time game mode

that comes every once in a while like you have mantis who's i like he's absolutely no play except for

some co-bass major victory deck that one dude on the internet streaming is playing and you know it

runs like a fourteen percent win rate he comes on a pod and claims it as a fifty percent win rate like

it's kind of crazy you know what i mean like these are these are like iconic cards

yeah no i you're you're right they should uh i think they should do rotations

that's the that's a dangerous word man especially like that

so i don't i don't disagree but also it's like you just i don't know if that's great that's

gonna you're talking about kiddo mega stuff that's some kiddo mega territory not handling the

rotation properly they use you bury the game yeah i guess that's true i i just want that limited

time game mode with the old medas to come back really that's it that's right and obviously

i just want draft mode that's what i want draft mode would be great yeah i love to draft

play the spy i've been playing slay spy that's kind of drafting seconds slay the spy reference

in this podcast thus far this is uh this is a we're on a great uh we're on a great trajectory here

to get a new main game for dexter here um and slay the spy i will mention i don't think this

is going to be good in ramp i don't think it's great in ramp despite the fact that yeah you're

gonna want to play larger cards to move because you don't want to play almost anything else on three

electro wave lunas know whatever right i think that this could be kind of cool and a tempo curved

curve deck with moon dragon if you think about it right you play moon dragon to play this on three

play high value on four vision five magneto six yeah you lose nevermind it sucks but i'm just

trying to say like if you play on curve no i think it's good i mean the tempo no the tempo

curve stuff is good it's just it's called a doom 2099 deck that's the problem because doom doom

in ramp are very different like doom it already is moon stone into tracks instead of caliban but now

you got two options are invisible woman you can do doom into or say a moon dragon or chamber

into invisible woman into doom 2099 into another card into another card so it's good it's good

and those sort of just play good cards on curve decks it's just if you're only playing one card

pretend it's it's that yeah because there's no what else scarlet spider maybe has some secret

synergy with this oh true these two fours kind of and the objective can just happen at the end

of the game and it might actually like take a winning location down 100% yeah it was four stars

for me what do you think yeah i think four stars sounds about right now that i'm thinking about

even in that 2099 deck like invisible women's really good drags is really good maybe this doesn't

even make the cup but i thought i feel like i'd actually drop tracks for this that's exactly what

i was talking about you made fun of me but i told you you have tracks in a deck you look at him

you're like yeah this is a good card and then you cut his ass it keeps happening i you literally

just did exactly what i argued about with tracks you just did it you prove me correct

needs the cutable card the thing is that deck also runs um uh come on say yama the orora it runs

aurora and this doesn't get buffed by aurora it's objective unless they change aurora's text to also

hit objective cards if only someone wished for that 30 minutes ago yeah otherwise that would be a great

change great change buff aurora baby get it done saline the horseman of famine horsewoman horse

person of famine horseman horseman um four four objective have three cards with no abilities in play

steel five power from an enemy card here dexter what are your thoughts this is very good

it's just very niche it goes in the osamandius deck it goes in an ultra deck it goes in a patriot

ultron osamandius deck it's a it's a four ten what about misterio i guess it works with misterio too

but i forgot about that card he's not very good he's not very good anymore he's to be cracked but yeah

he would work with misterio or she would work with misterio i don't i don't think uh all i

guess gonna like make people start running misterio oh misterio sasquatch saline i actually don't

know how this card works if you complete its objective and then bounce it i'm assuming objectives

are like activates and if you bounce them they're just they're just like done great out maybe

yeah if it went off again imagine that would be correct then misterio saline beast sasquatch stuff

would go crazy but um i think this is incredibly strong yeah i agree and i'm kind of losing

my voice so i want to make sure i'm very clear on this this steals the power it doesn't just

afflict it steals the power meaning that it becomes a four nine and it's also applying the negative

five on the other side which is effectively fourteen total stats on a card that's a lot

and it's very easy to hit this condition if you're playing the right deck so it's not a flexible

card that can be played in a lot of things like your beloved jacks your beloved jack flag

but if you're playing patriot and you like patriot it's probably pretty good i want you to know

i i think that you're so off base with jack jack is getting thumped for no reason whatsoever

well i don't understand why you want to show him so much disrespect i'll have you know

that with every card we're going to talk about going forward including all the rocks jack flag

is going to buff all those rocks jack flag is going to buff saline so you're going to eat your

words sir i just want yourself no i think he's good in the patriot deck i do yeah but you i mean

yeah but patriot only does plus two as well yeah but to the whole board all right okay you got me there

that makes sense yeah okay all right yeah that's fair and in a patriot deck patriot is like he's hitting

like ten cards sometimes it's true so it's three three twelve kind of and then you can

um mystique him or whatever probably not i don't even know if you run mystique in this maybe

no i don't know i'm excited to mess around with this but maybe we'll talk about it more once we

hit an osamandius card if that's in here if that's a lead like what i forgot to even include it

in the podcast like i just i'm just you know we're not going to talk about that today like why would

well what do you give saline out of five i'm leaning four stars i think this is a solid card like

i don't see this card missing unless you manage to play it in the wrong lane and your opponent

doesn't have a card there where you don't get value then it's only a four nine the only thing i

don't know and i'm not a hundred percent sure about and i need i bet you the video will answer

if this works with evo because will the no ability cards now have abilities i believe they do

because they're not buffed by patriot oh you're right yeah you're right

so i'm hoping for that if it's somehow interactive with that it'd be a great patriot

it would great high evo card but i think you're right i don't think it they count as having

abilities when evo transforms them yeah does this come out a week before osamandius

this comes out on march 24th osamandius or whatever the name is is march 23rd

and sandstorm comes out march 12 so when this comes out you will have the full allotment of rocks

okay yeah i think it literally just goes in that deck and it's essential in that deck

people are going to be like what's a good way to replace this and it's going to i don't know

like another deck basically drags yeah all right rama tut the final series five card coming out

but not the last card we're discussing because we haven't talked series four yet there's a lot to

talk about today bud rama tut march 31st series five a four five that reads on reveal

use three on reveals from cards released before rama tuts time and the immediate question is

what does that even mean we asked about it in the crater discord and um we were told that there's

no definitive list that is going to be shared directly with us but there are going to be cards

excluded so like carnage is excluded the goblins are excluded so from my understanding so i'm

gonna give full credit your snap fan did come up with a uh a bit of a data mind list i'm going to

throw on the screen right now and uh it's a lot of cards there's a lot of cards in there but

generally these are cards that like are decent hits and when i went through this list decks one of

the ones that stood out to me like really awful horrible hits there's motox still available for

being hit you have blob that can be hit which could be good or bad depending on the situation

destroyer is still available to be hit venom is in there too it's not as bad as carnage but

still venom's there and viper is still an option to be hit too which could be problematic so uh

rama tut an interesting card a super fun card and i'm just gonna say i think it's cool

and also i'll tell you that do you want to know a fun fact you know who rama tut is dexter

he cuz rama tut is in my favorite comic in marvel tell me about it this is king i was gonna say

he feels he gives king vibes does he give king cuz cuz it is king yeah cuz king like

doesn't have a variant that's like really similar to this but also um i hate king i hate the new

king i hate him i'm so sorry i like the old king i know you like the old king i like the new king

king he can he can he can rochembo himself you know okay let's do a little trivia marvel snap

trivia now i know i said i'm not the one to be doing marvel snap trivia but when it comes to

king i can do it we have multiple gangs in this game we have king of conquer we have rama tut

and there's another do you know who else is king iron lad iron lad is correct i was right okay wow

that was incredible man there's very long pause a lot of silence i could edit it out but i'm

it's very short term okay star reading wise this can't be more than like a two two and a half max

three like this is there's no way this is a competitive card right this is a there's too much there's

too much randomness yeah it's like a two star i think king the three four is actually like a one

star yeah like what people people were so excited what do you mean why people are so excited for

that card that was like one of the most miserable times i had when people kept asking me to play king

and i absolutely hated the card because it's just like no synergy if you were like please surfer king

it's so bad because you just don't draw your surfer but yeah this card's like a two stars at best

it's gonna win some games but it's also gonna lose a lot of games also maybe it just i'd have to run

the numbers and look at it and see like how many bad effects are there is this like 75% chance that

he's gonna be massive like he could hit bp and then he can hit frickin galactus he can hit bp

into his armzola on the list armzola is on the list well you'd need another card in the lane he

can't zola himself it's true what do you got room my son it can hit sherry into black panther

but it wouldn't buff itself with the bp would it all my fun sorry um you're right you're right

no i mean there's there's gonna be some crazy fun clips of this but i think it's just a fun card

if you actually want like a good deck that climbs you probably don't want to run this but imagine

like playing this and then playing abs man how does it even work one does it bake them in you know

like if you copy a mystique it's got the baked in thing is he gonna have like three on reveals

like in his card text i have no idea i have no idea how it's gonna work and like if you wong

is it his effect goes off twice and then every on reveal goes off twice you get 12 prox

or what if you just play this and then you aren't in rhamatha and then he just goes off again

you know like that'd be kind of fun or odin you're begging to get armzola changed nerfed band

like you're just you're committed to it he's a problematic card

it was never a problem armzola was never a problem you're just trying to ruin him he was always

going to be a problem because he doubles he makes a copy of the car he's like not as much of a

problem as taskmaster right but i feel like armzola always it limits the the the card design

am i stupid right now no you're not you're not you're right armzola might be you know a very

problematic card of marvel snap if only there was a way to counter him in the form of uh start

up start up you know and that's the thing right that's why start us as good that's what ongoing is

surprisingly good because you can just fit all this type of tech in right yeah all right we're

into the series four limited time game mode cards this is where things get rocky and not in a

bad way because i think these cards are both good sandstorm march 12 limited time game mode i believe

its team clash coming back i remember the first time i played team clash i was confused as hell

but i thought it was cool i thought it was cool what do you think it's team clash i thought it

was a lot of fun it was the most fun fun i've had in a limited time game out i think if i'm

remembering probably we only had one right before i had one team clash that's right yeah i think

that was my second favorite right after grand arena but grant the recent grand arena i honestly didn't

enjoy and then play a single game once i didn't enjoy the concept because there was like nothing new

right like the decks were slightly different but i didn't feel like playing it but i like team clash

team clash i'm excited wait so this is a clash card or this is a card coming out that you win

by playing clash and then it's an actual card you could play i bet i mean i don't i don't know

if they're gonna tell us eventually it's gonna be in the trailer or something like that you're

probably watching and you know this and we don't know this it's probably like the 800 gold unlocked

season pat like the past thing okay but then okay so you get it free too yeah you actually can play

this it's an actual card do you want to read the card though for the audio listeners are like they

sure i'm gonna be talking about two cost on reveal add two rocks to your hand give them plus one

power for each of your front row characters it's worth noting that the graphic on screen doesn't

fully illustrate that it's a skill but it's a skill i was gonna say it looks like a skill because

there's no power so yeah not a lot of collectible skills out there but this does seem to be

one of them and i think it goes good in the osamandius deck i'm excited for this because like

it's not an archetype right now i miss patriot of days past i the very linear line of patriot

case are uh sand man ultron they're behind us this is a good card i think it's gonna go great in

zoom and think about it you squirrel girl you shana whatever things are filled everywhere and right

there you're getting plus one power for each of your front row characters bro rocks six they're one

six and then like what if you know you got you got uh osamadius or whatever the name is you got

patriot down like what are they like one eleven one nine with osamadius just by itself

yeah it's basically uh i think the decks you do run this in your front row is gonna be kind of full

you just have to play it on a later turn so maybe this is your turn five play i don't know

you do like uh patriot sandstorm or maybe not maybe played earlier but you you're putting two

demons in your hand kind of created cards for gambit

yeah one in one yeah kind of works for gambit yeah i think uh i think it's scope i think it's only good in

yeah very niche i think it's mostly gonna be patriot i think in zoo okay sure yes it or zoo it's

probably good i like it sir i have a statement for us oh okay i have a statement it's very important

it's going back to gambit i don't want to just keep going back to gambit but there's a card you

mentioned and this card and i know you hate this very last time you're on the show you roast me for

this variant victoria hand will buff the rocks as well because they're being created in hand

yeah so maybe this goes in the hand the hand deck i was talking about

and those one one cost rocks with quenja it will be discounted to one cost so it's like perfect

actually don't know if it makes this deck but i think it would be good yeah i don't i don't hate it

past card i agree it should have been just like rock season yeah but it wasn't the season

for the audio listeners uh osma deus is a five-nine with ongoing your rocks have plus three power

everywhere all your rocks everywhere that's right that's right all the rocks very strong stats

and i think this is an archetype to find her plus three buffs are always good in marvel snap every

single time we've had cards to do plus three they're good cards plus three has never failed us once

and i'm trying to think of a time that it did fail because i know someone's gonna be in the comments

it's like Alex you dumb dumb here's a plus three card that sucks schnapps and it probably exists

but like when surf it was plus three was broken when uh when what's your name uh also bloodstone was

plus three was broken plus three broken collecta was plus three was broken

cerebro currently plus three it's broken i i think um cerebro is not that great right now

no it's not the point it's just like just the cringe with everything else that happens when

you're playing cerebro it's a point it's an amazing point stack dude it's just everything

else that happens just screws it on stop and you just um you get a lot of rocks do you even run

mullman if you mullman you really don't want to hit osamandius himself but this seems solid

maybe you played with the new objective card the the new apocque just as an additional hail married

to try and pull your osamandius um but i mean if you run moonstone mystique yeah and summoner

if you run moonstone and mystique and patriot and osamandius you're gonna be happy as long as he

hits some sort of combo with this obviously moonstone doesn't copy the osamandius but if you put

moonstone down then you play osamandius you can mystique the osamandius so and then patriot also good

and then you're happy if you draw either patriot or osamandius you probably run debris in here

you probably run sandstorm you maybe even uh it's mullman um how are so we getting rocks

mullman gets cut no maybe it doesn't i don't something i'm telling you call it right now

most valuable cards this season once osamandius mandius whatever osamandius osamandius comes out

armor and kaira and i'm gonna make a call right now you heard it here first and dexter you know

100% that i don't would not know this information i think armor and kaira both get one point

boss i think armor becomes a two four kaira becomes a three five prior to this card coming up

oh that's my hot take yeah i guess everyone's going to be running killmonger when this card comes out

and that's gonna suck yeah that's gonna suck a lot i hope they get buffed because yeah kaira's a

three four is not great great this very old oh i actually like this one you did a great job it's

kind of cohesive with the the background and the frame out of ten solid six solid six come on man
