About this episode
“TikTok is great for testing out new ideas really quickly and seeing what sticks and having those seeds of an idea, but writing an hour is completely different.
So I'm able to build on those characters that I've tested out on TikTok but I've really enjoyed having a whole hour to carve out a whole story and weave in an arc and all of these kind of storytelling things.”
Comedian Zara Gladman about her Fringe show and also her Sketch show Good For Her which aired on BBC Scotland and is also available to watch on iPlayer.
We talk about turning characters developed on TikTok to ones that can be expanded both in a sketch show and also an hour long Edinburgh Fringe show, we discuss Zara’s use of social media to highlight the cost of putting on a Fringe show and also how the music of CMAT was a perfect fit to the end of Good For Her.
