Former Chairman of the Federal Reserve
Alan Greenspan was an American economist and banker who served as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1987 to 2006. He was a key figure in shaping the US monetary policy during the 1980s and 1990s. Greenspan was also a prominent economist and author, and wrote several books on economics and finance. He was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2003.
