Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Uqba was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and a renowned scholar of the Quran. He was born in Mecca around 624 CE and died in Medina in 688 CE. Ibn 'Uqba was known for his exceptional knowledge of the Quran and his ability to recite it from memory. He was also a skilled scholar and was often consulted by the Prophet Muhammad on matters of Islamic law and theology. Ibn 'Uqba played a significant role in the compilation of the Quran and was one of the most important sources of information for the early Muslim scholars.
