Abp. Marcel Lefebvre

Marcel Lefebvre was a French Catholic priest and Archbishop who was a prominent figure in the traditionalist movement within the Catholic Church. He was a graduate of the Pontifical Gregorian University and was ordained as a priest in 1959. Lefebvre was appointed as the Bishop of Fleury-les-Aubigny in 1975 and later became the Archbishop of Strasbourg in 1982. He was a strong advocate for traditional Catholic teachings and was excommunicated by the Vatican in 1988. Lefebvre was a prolific writer and published numerous books on theology and spirituality. He was also a skilled orator and gave many public talks on Catholic theology and spirituality.
