Abraham Merritt was an American author and screenwriter. He is best known for his science fiction and fantasy novels, including the classic novel 'The Ship of Ishtar'. Merritt was born in 1894 and died in 1949. He was a prominent figure in the pulp fiction movement of the 1920s and 1930s.
