Aghast C. Christie was a British crime writer and novelist, best known for her mystery novels. Born Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie on September 15, 1890, in Torquay, Devon, England, she is widely regarded as the Queen of Crime. Christie's writing career spanned over five decades, during which she wrote 66 detective novels and numerous short stories. Her works have been translated into more than 100 languages and have sold over 2 billion copies worldwide. Christie was also a prominent figure in British society, serving as the President of the Detection Club and receiving numerous awards for her writing. She passed away on January 12, 1976, at the age of 85.
