Former Royal Air Force officer
Air Commodore Charles Clarke is a former Royal Air Force officer who served as a prisoner-of-war during World War II. He was a prisoner at Stalag Luft III and was involved in the Great Escape. After the war, he went on to have a successful career in the Royal Air Force, rising to the rank of air commodore. He has written about his experiences as a prisoner-of-war and has spoken publicly about his time in the RAF.
