Al Jolson was an American singer and actor. He was one of the most popular entertainers of the 1920s and 1930s, and was known for his powerful voice and charismatic stage presence. Jolson was born in Lithuania and immigrated to the United States as a child. He went on to become a major star in Hollywood, appearing in numerous films and recordings.
