Albert Luthuli was a South African anti-apartheid activist and politician. He was a key figure in the African National Congress (ANC) and served as the organization's president from 1952 to 1967. Luthuli was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1960 for his non-violent resistance to apartheid. He was also a prominent leader in the fight against racism and inequality in South Africa. Luthuli was assassinated in 1967 while in exile in Mozambique.
