Albert Pierrepoint

Albert Pierrepoint was a British hangman and executioner who served during World War II. He was responsible for carrying out numerous executions, including those of convicted murderers like Jimmy O'Connor. Pierrepoint was known for his professionalism and calm demeanor during executions. He was also a skilled craftsman and was involved in the design of gallows and other execution equipment. Pierrepoint retired from his position as hangman in 1959 and passed away in 1975.
