Alexei Pivovarsky

Alexei Pivovarsky is a Russian journalist and editor. He is the editor-in-chief of the Russian online newspaper Novaya Gazeta. Pivovarsky has been a prominent critic of the Russian government and has written extensively on politics and human rights. He has received several awards for his work, including the Sakharov Prize. Pivovarsky is also a vocal advocate for freedom of speech and press freedom. He has been in exile since 2015 due to his criticism of the Russian government.
