Pioneer of modern physical astronomy
Alfred Fowler was a British astronomer who made significant contributions to the field of physical astronomy. He was born on March 22nd, 1868, in Wilsden, Bradford, and went on to become one of the most important astronomers of the 20th century. Fowler was a prolific researcher and published numerous papers on topics such as stellar evolution and the structure of the universe. He was also a skilled teacher and mentor, and played a key role in the development of astronomy as a scientific discipline. Fowler passed away on January 25th, 1947, at the age of 78.
