Iranian writer and literary critic
Ali Akbar Mahdi Davar was an Iranian poet, literary critic, and academic. He was born in 1926 in Tehran, Iran. Davar studied literature at the University of Tehran and later earned his Ph.D. in literature from the same institution. He was a prominent figure in Iranian literary circles and wrote extensively on Persian literature and poetry. Davar was also a professor of literature at the University of Tehran and taught various courses on literature and poetry. He was known for his critical writings on Persian literature and his analysis of classical Persian poetry. Davar passed away in 2015.
