Mohammad Ali Taheri is an Iranian politician and Islamic scholar. He was born in 1942 in Iran. Taheri has been involved in Iranian politics for many years, serving as a member of the Majlis (Iranian parliament) and as the chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy. He has also been a prominent figure in Iranian Islamic studies, having written several books on the subject. Taheri has been a vocal critic of Western influence in Iran and has advocated for a more isolationist approach to foreign policy. He has also been involved in various cultural and educational initiatives, including the establishment of the Iranian Cultural Institute in Paris. Taheri has been recognized for his contributions to Iranian politics and Islamic studies, including being awarded the Order of the Lion of the Sun of the Republic of Iran.
