Allen Lee Davies was an American man who was involved in the murder of his friend's husband, Albert Snyder. He was born in 1905 in New Jersey and grew up in a middle-class family. Davies met Ruth Brown Snyder in 1927, and the two began a romantic relationship. However, their relationship was marked by infidelity and abuse, and Davies eventually became involved in a plot to murder Snyder's husband. On November 16, 1927, Davies and Snyder electrocuted Snyder's husband on a homemade electric chair in their home. Davies was arrested and tried for the crime, and he was found guilty and sentenced to death. He was executed by electric chair on June 15, 1928, at the New Jersey State Prison.
