Amir Asadollah Alam

Iranian politician and Prime Minister

Amir Asadollah Alam was a high-ranking official in the Imperial Iranian Government. He served as the Prime Minister of Iran from 1953 to 1954. Alam was a key figure in the 1953 coup that overthrew the democratically-elected government of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh. He was also a close advisor to the Shah of Iran. Alam died in 1965.
