Iranian politician and historian

Amir Esadollah Alam was an Iranian politician and military officer. He served as the Prime Minister of Iran from 1953 to 1954. Alam was a key figure in the 1953 Iranian coup d'etat, which overthrew the democratically-elected government of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh. He was known for his conservative and nationalist views. Alam died in 1979.
