Ana Díaz Canel

Ana Díaz Canel is a Cuban politician and journalist who served as the First Lady of Cuba from 2018 to 2021. She was born on May 16, 1976, in Santa Clara, Cuba. Diaz Canel is a graduate of the University of Havana and has worked as a journalist and politician for over two decades. She has been a member of the Cuban Communist Party since 2002 and has held various positions in the government, including Minister of Higher Education. Diaz Canel is known for her advocacy on women's rights and education. She has also been a vocal critic of the US embargo on Cuba.
