Andrei Sakharov

Andrei Sakharov was a Russian physicist, human rights activist, and Nobel laureate who was a prominent critic of the Soviet Union's human rights record. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1975 for his efforts to promote human rights and disarmament.
