Philippine Nationalist and Revolutionist
Andres Bonifacio was a Filipino revolutionary and nationalist who played a key role in the Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonial rule. He is considered one of the founders of the Philippines and is known for his leadership in the Katipunan, a secret society that fought for Philippine independence. Bonifacio was born in 1863 in Pandacan, Manila and died in 1897 during the Philippine Revolution. He is remembered as a national hero in the Philippines.
