Andrew Carney

Andrew Carney is a Canadian politician who has served as the Governor General of Canada since 2017. He has previously served as the Minister of National Defence and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Carney has been a member of the Liberal Party of Canada since 2004 and has represented the riding of Edmonton—Mill Woods—Beaumont in the House of Commons. He has been a strong advocate for Canadian foreign policy and has worked to promote Canadian interests abroad.
