Andrey Zvyagintsev

Andrey Zvyagintsev is a Russian film director and screenwriter. He was born on March 4, 1973, in Moscow, Russia. Zvyagintsev studied film at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. He made his feature film debut with the 1998 film "The Return". Zvyagintsev is known for his critically acclaimed films that often explore themes of Russian identity and existentialism. He has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
