Anjezé Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, known as Mother Teresa, was a Catholic nun and missionary who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Born in Skopje, Macedonia, she became a nun at the age of 18 and spent her life serving the poor and marginalized.
