Annastacia Palaszczuk

Annastacia Palaszczuk is the 32nd Premier of Queensland, Australia. She was born on September 20, 1969, in Brisbane, Queensland. Palaszczuk studied law at the University of Queensland and was admitted to the Queensland Bar in 1995. She was a Member of Parliament for the seat of Inala from 2009 to 2017 and served as the Leader of the Opposition from 2015 to 2017. She became the Premier of Queensland in 2015 and has been re-elected in 2017 and 2020. Palaszczuk is known for her advocacy on issues such as climate change, education, and women's rights.
