Anne Bishop

Anne Bishop is a novelist and short story writer. She is the author of several novels, including the Others series. Bishop was born in 1950 in San Francisco, California. She grew up in a family of modest means and developed a love of reading and writing at an early age. Bishop attended the University of California, Berkeley, and later earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of Arizona. She has taught creative writing at several universities and has been a finalist for the National Book Award. Bishop is known for her dark, atmospheric novels that explore themes of identity, community, and the supernatural.
