Antonio Saura was a Spanish film director and screenwriter known for his work in the New Wave movement. He was born in Zaragoza, Spain in 1930 and died in 1998. Saura was a prominent figure in Spanish cinema and was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 1968 Cannes Film Festival.
