Archibald Butt was an American military officer and advisor to U.S. presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. He was a prominent figure in the early 20th century and was known for his bravery and leadership during World War I. Butt was a graduate of the United States Military Academy and served in several military campaigns, including the Spanish-American War. He was a close friend and advisor to Roosevelt and was known for his loyalty and dedication to the president. Butt was also a skilled writer and published several books on military history. He died in 1916 at the age of 41.
