Arne Mella

Arne Mella is a Norwegian rector and academic administrator. He has served as the rector of the University of Oslo since 2018. Prior to his tenure as rector, Mella held various positions at the University of Oslo, including dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and vice-rector for academic affairs. He has also been involved in various national and international initiatives related to higher education and research. Mella is known for his work on issues related to education policy, academic freedom, and student affairs. He is also a strong advocate for internationalization and diversity in higher education.
