Arthur Eddington

Arthur Eddington was a British astronomer and physicist who made significant contributions to our understanding of the universe. He was a pioneer in the field of astrophysics and was known for his work on the behavior of stars and black holes. Eddington was also a strong advocate for the importance of science in society. He was knighted in 1928 for his services to science. Eddington was born in 1882 and died in 1944.
