Arthur Edward Waite

Arthur Edward Waite was a British author and occultist who is best known for his work on the Rider-Waite tarot deck. He was a prominent figure in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and his writings on magic and the occult have been widely influential. Waite was also a skilled artist and illustrator, and his work on the tarot deck is still widely admired today. He was born in London, England in 1857 and died in 1942.
