Arthur Griffith was an Irish politician and founder of Sinn Fein, the Irish republican party. He was a key figure in the Irish independence movement and played a leading role in the Anglo-Irish Treaty negotiations. Griffith was a strong advocate for Irish self-government and was instrumental in the establishment of the Irish Free State. He died in 1922 at the age of 65. Griffith is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in Irish history and is remembered as a champion of Irish independence.
