Bamber Gascoigne is a British television presenter and writer. He is best known for hosting the BBC quiz show University Challenge from 1978 to 1993. Gascoigne has also written several books and has presented several other TV shows. He is a well-known opera buff and has been involved in various charity work. Gascoigne has been married to his wife, Anne, for many years and they have two children together.
