Barry Unsworth was a British novelist and short story writer. He was born in 1947 and passed away in 2016. Unsworth is best known for his novels, including Morality Play, which was published in 1997. He was a prominent figure in the literary world and was awarded the Whitbread Book of the Year award in 1997.
