Bela Gutmann was a Hungarian-American businessman and soccer enthusiast. He is credited with founding the American Soccer League and promoting the sport in the United States. Gutmann was a successful entrepreneur and had a strong background in finance. He was also a passionate soccer fan and played the sport at a high level.
