Benedikt XVI

Benedikt XVI, born Joseph Ratzinger, is a German theologian, cardinal, and Pope emeritus. He served as the Pope of the Catholic Church from 2005 to 2022. Ratzinger was a prominent figure in the Catholic Church, known for his conservative views and his role in shaping the Church's doctrine on various issues. He was a professor of theology at the University of Regensburg and served as the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Ratzinger was elected Pope in 2005 and served for 17 years, during which time he played a significant role in shaping the Church's response to various global issues.
