Mathematician and fractal pioneer
Benoit Mandelbrot was a French-American mathematician who is widely regarded as the father of fractal geometry. He was born in Poland in 1924 and emigrated to the United States in the 1940s. He worked at Yale University and was a prominent figure in the development of chaos theory. He is known for his work on the Mandelbrot set and his ability to identify patterns in nature. He passed away in 2010.
