Beth Lochtefeld

Elizabeth Anne 'Beth' Lochtefeld was an American woman who was murdered on Nantucket in 2004. She was a victim of domestic violence and her murder was highly publicized due to the circumstances surrounding her death. Lochtefeld was a mother of two and was known for her advocacy work on behalf of victims of domestic violence. Her murder led to changes in the way that domestic violence cases are handled in Massachusetts. Lochtefeld's case was also the subject of a Dateline NBC special in 1992. She is still remembered and honored today for her bravery and advocacy work.
